Customers are positive about the picture quality, ease of setup, price, remote control, and smart TV features. They appreciate the amazing picture quality, easy setup process, reasonable price, user-friendly remote control, and the overall smart TV experience. However, there are concerns regarding the legs being wobbly and difficult to install, the lack of a user manual, the TV's durability, limited smart features, and the quality of the black levels.

Purchased during the Black Friday 2019 Sale to upgrade from my 6 year old Sony 3D 1080p tv and this is an impressive set. Once you set up for your environment settings on the tv (colors, picture settings, sound, etc) it's pretty much good to go.
Setting it up couldn't be any easier with the WebOS and the Magic Remote that acts as an onscreen cursor when you point the remote at the screen.
Picture Quality: Very good once you set up the right contrast and brightness settings and various options. Blacks levels are decent but it won't be OLED black but I knew that going in since this isn't a $2500 unit. Images are super sharp and had no issues watching sports, playing PS4 or watching a 4K UHD Blu Ray.
Sound Quality: from the TV, eh... you're going to need a soundbar to get better sound imaging but I use a receiver and 5.1 speakers to get the movie theater experience.
Software/Smart Features: I like it, very fast and slick interface once you get used to navigating around and allows you to download all the streaming apps like YouTube, DisneyPlus, Netflix, Amazon Video, etc. Since owning it, there have been constant app updates so you can get the best viewing experience.
Summary: for the price and quality of the screen, it's a very good buy.

The picture quality is excellent. The menu and apps are not as intuitive as they could be. The pointer function on the remote takes some time getting used to, but makes signing into various items a lot simpler than clicking the arrow buttons back and forth. There are a lot of applications available, but are only relevant to niche groups. I am still exploring all the options and hope to find some shortcuts to get full use of what is available. Good TV for the price.

The perfect tv for our living room with great color and easy to operate after being professionally installed by GeekSquad. Very sharp images but dark scenes in some TV shows do not have enough contrast and reminds me of old drive-in shows from "yesteryear". Probably an adjustment needed that I haven't figured out how to perform yet.

This LG TV has a great viewing angle, nice color and LG WebOS operating system which makes adjusting the TV easy. The IPS screen doesn’t have the deep dark blacks that VA panels have, but viewing angles are excellent. Overall it is a great performing TV along with the Magic remote which is like a laser pointer.

Recently purchased as holiday gifts for the kids and they loved the 55" size. Price was so reasonable I could not pass up the deal so i bought the LG sound bar to go with them. Only downfall, legs too wide on TV and needed to purchase new stands as their apartments do not allow wall mounted TVs.

This tv is great. The picture on the tv in our bedroom went out. No joke, we panicked. So we ran to Best Buy the same day and wanted to purchase the best tv they had under $600. The young gentleman that worked in the tv section told unequivocally that this particular LG which was not even out on the floor yet would be the best bang for our buck. He sure was right. The picture quality is amazing, the black is sharp and crisp and the sound is amazing. We love our LG. We have 70inch TVs in the living room, basement, and a 65inch in the den. So we were a little worried about the 55inch bc we had gotten so used to the larger TVs a s rarely even watched the tv in the bedroom because of its size. We are totally happy with the size and brand. We were a brand specific family (not LG) but we have been pleasantly surprised. I’m now trying to convince my partner to allow me to switch our Samsung’s with LGs.

This TV was very inexpensive for what you get. The picture quality is excellent, the sound from the TV is surprisingly good, the remote and user interface is spectacular. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to get a great TV for around $500.

really solid picture quality and pretty easy to set up. A bit funky on the smart tv interface but you do get used to it. Great remote "magic remote" that actually allowed me to get rid of the Direct TV Genie remote. Down to one remote!
Does not have MLB.TV available on the LG Content page. Bummer! Also does not support Google Chrome for casting.

TV has excellent picture. The remote has number buttons so you can key in channel without having to go thru a menu or scroll thru channels. We have another 'smart' TV that does not have number buttons on the remote (& does not show channel numbers on the menus either) and I will never have another that doesn't have them!
I am not a big fan of the "magic" part of the remote. The "magic" part of the remote seems to come on by accident and when it is on the 'mouse like pointer' is rather a pain to position. I end up in menus, etc., that I didn't mean to get to and then seem to have problems getting out of them.
The HDMI-ARC port works well with our Sony sound bar (which also is the TV's source for DirecTV & our Blue Ray player).

After years of paying big money for Sony products, I decided to give LG a try.
They have been getting good reviews from both Tech magazines & end users so I put aside my previous bias against Korean electronics and gave this 55” model a try.
The picture quality knocked my socks off, I watch a lot of baseball games & it handles all the fast motion with no trails or blurring.
I also use it as my computer monitor & it handles everything my high powered Macintosh throws at it.
This model has a boatload of features & I've used them all, it really offers a lot of quality for the price.
I’d not only recommend this TV, I’m planning to buy another for the bedroom.

This TV has the best picture I seen and I returned two, the toshiba fire tv which is just a firestick on steroids and a samsung 6 series which sucked as far as the picture. The picture is crystal clear on cable antenna or firestick. the controls are easy to use. The sound is Great! with good bass and it's loud enough not blasting but good sound. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because LG has there own OS and limited in your choice of apps. All the main ones are there like netflix hbo amazon. The reomote is AWESOME! You can talk to it and send commands through Aexia which you have to download first but great remote. I changed it to 5, it's the best out the bunch to me.

Bought this TV for our home office set up and couldn’t be happier based on the price. Legs seem a little wobbly but ours is wall mounted. Quality is close to our Samsung Q80.

We are transitioning from 1080p to 4K so definitely the picture quality is better but it doesn't seem real some times. The remote is great and very easy to handle. TV has lots of features. Overall good TV but sometime movie doesn't look great just okayish.
