    My old 42" TV died with no warning whatever after only 8 years. The LG is larger and has a better resolution. Took advantage of the need for replacement to upgrade. So far, very happy with the new screen. Turns on far more quickly than my old westinghouse.

    It's a good tv, the controller has a pointer option, it's very light for it's size which makes it easy to mount

    Works very well, lots of great add ons and features. 1080p cable TV won't look as great as streaming. Be sure to upgrade HDMI cables with purchase. Con: motion smoothing is on by default. You will have to spend some time turning it off for each device you attach as it makes everything look awful. Once you do, it is good to go.
