I see little improvement switching from Standard to HD channels. Troubleshooting suggestions on the LG website still left me disappointed in the picture sharpness.

In particular, the screen itself has a very noticeable effect I can only describe as a dirty screen door. It is very apparent when scenes are moving horizontally. It effects the entire screen and it certainly distracting. Coming from a samsung tv in the same price range and features, I am shocked. My samsung of two years died on me but at least it had a beautiful picture. Unless this is some kind of defect ( which I am not sure of) I would stay far away from this TV series.

Watch a night scene before you buy!

The LG was very poor with its color but night scenes or in a darkened room you could no see anything other than a little motion. We love our Vizio and the colors are all outstanding. Perhaps the higher and much more expensive LGs are much better but I have a small Vizio in my bedroom and both that and the 65 inch are terrific. I seldom give poor reviews but I felt that no one would like what we experienced.

No matter what setting I used, there's always like a cloudy midst in the shot. Very few settings controls as well. Had to take it back. I was looking for a cheapish but nice LED screen, but this sure isn't either one of those.
