    Audio problems

I give it only three stars because, while the video section is breathtaking with 4K input, the audio section is plagued by frequent lip sync problems that can't always be corrected by the on-board AV Sync adjustment, and by wide volume fluctuations between channels and even between commercials, for which there is no adjustment. A Sony in the bedroom running off the same cable company and through the same model set-top box has no such problems. I've been around since TVs came out and have never owned or even heard of a TV with those audio problems. Especially one costing so much.

    Don't have a problem

This was a great TV while it worked. Then a month later it turned off by itself and wouldn't turn back on. LG called third party service and they replaced the bad motherboard with another bad one. When I got it back it worked for 1 hour then the same thing happened. Not wanting the same experience with the same service shop, I took it 50 miles away to NYC where another third party service shop took over 2 weeks to pick it up and over 2 weeks to return it with gouges in the back and scratches on the screen. LG then informed me that the warranty did not cover scratches. I didn't put the scratches there though. Now I have a disfigured $2000 TV. If I had a problem with a Samsung or Sony they would have replaced the damaged unit with a new one then fixed the damaged one and sold it as refurbished. I will never buy another LG product.

Awesome picture, great for movies, fire looked like real fire. menus were weird but fast and easy to use. Loved this television till it crashed during use. would leave movies while watching and go to black screen. random time on that...checked settings turned off eco and timers. still did same thing. design flaw in this model. happened a lot after working for two weeks. went to Sony 900e and it had no such problem so far.

    Wish I hadn’t purchased this.

The picture quality is very dark out of the box in all picture modes. You must take off Energy Saver completely to see a phenomenal picture. The floating mouse used to control interface shows up and disappears whenever it wants to. After pushing all the buttons on the remote several times, the screen goes from black to finally on. The game mode has ridiculously bad motion blur when connected to a PS4. Games like Assassins Creed Origins make it noticeable when you turn your character left and right. Directly connected the tv to my Sony receiver via hdmi and I get no sound from my home theater. I’ve even enabled the hdmi arc in the settings for the tv. Not a happy customer right now! Don’t buy this!

    Good/Bad

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The Good- Great amazing picture and sound quality. The Bad- 13 months and the screen has dead pixels. The center of the screen has a four inch green/gray line going across. I'm pretty good with tech so I tested the picture across different inputs including a DVD and had the tv clean noise several times but the line is still there. This should not happen with a year old TV. Credit to LG- I called them to report the issue. They advised me that even though the warranty ran out they stand behind their product and they scheduled a repair guy to come out and fix or replace the TV. As a consumer, we want companies to stand behind their products and so far LG has done that with my problem. Hopefully this will be resolved soon and I will update this review.

My panel went bad at 18 months.

My 55" panel went bad at 18 months. The TV is useless and the company would not do anything. Make sure to buy an extended warranty from the retailer. LG doesn't stand behind their products. A corporate level supervisor told me "no man made product has an average lifespan." A person said this. Remember that the next time you see a 1 year warranty on a 3000 dollar piece of LG electronics.

    DO NOT BUY OLED

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Do not buy any of the OLED. I bought one 6 months ago and it already has image burn in - ghosting. They said there is a tool to clear stuck pixels, it does not work. Also, the motion is NOT SMOOTH. There is a lot of jutter it makes watching action film unwatchable. The first scene in Rogue One when the ships flies across the screen was too fast for the tv to process so the ship seemed to flicker in and out of the screen.

    Not reliable

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This TV failed twice in 3 and a half years. They look great but is unreliable. As expensive as OLED is, you would expect it to last longer. First time there was some banding on the screen, now a big green blob.

    2 Sets-Both Develop Horizontal Lines

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

After reading reviews, I was pretty excited about these OLED TV's! First one I bought developed a horizontal line right in the center of the TV after only 3 days....Best Buy promptly replaced it with another set and it worked nicely for 2 weeks and then developed a horizontal line again! You would think a $1800 TV would not have this problem? I find it hard to believe, I am the only one who is experiencing this?

Do not buy. Anything other than pcm through HDMI return (ARC) will be distorted. This happens with most all of the installed applications and even through a thumb drive. LG tell me that it is a known issues with no ETA on a fix...really!
