I’m guessing that not using it will shorten led life which is what the manufacturer wants...

Great TV upgrade

Sound is meh for the quality of the TV. For a TV this expensive, the sound should be much better. But it's all in their/LG marketing scheme, "A sound bar is a must for this TV!"
