Awesome TV when it works

It’s had every part, except the stand, replaced and still doesn’t work. LG is dragging their feet for 2 months now on the replacement process. My biggest regret is it not buying the Best Buy protection plan. If the tv was working I’d give it 5 stars without hesitation. Hoping this is an isolated case and when it’s replaced we’ll be happy with it once again.

When my Samsung plasma finally gave up the ghost after 10+ years, it was time to go with the best. I am super sensitive to motion blur, and my wide living room would make off-axis watching a bummer for a QLED or LED set. I'm also sensitive to watching sets that aren't pure black. I dealt with it on my Samsung plasma cause I didn't have enough money at the time for a Pioneer Kuro, but at my age I figured I had waited long enough. Although it was the most expensive, I knew with the OLED I wouldn't be sacrificing anything. I didn't want to look back a year later and wish I had spent the extra money and gotten the best. So I treated myself, and I have no regrets. It looks perfect, off-axis viewing is great, the color is accurate, blacks are perfect, HDR content is awesome, and the software is sufficient. I wish LG had the ESPN app so I could do away with my Roku altogether, maybe that'll happen one day. Until then, I still need to use the Roku at times. Perhaps with the Sony OLED you can find a few things that it does better, but I have no regrets with the LG. They put all their resources into making this a very good tv.
