We originally were going to replace our Vizio with another Vizio, but after reading reviews we saw that the new ones were still having sound issues. The picture doesn't touch my Q8FN, but you know $$$$. LOL Once I take the time to tweak some settings, it should look good for her.

We decided to get the “nicer, newer” model and spend a bit more money because it was highly talked up in the store. The TV lags often regardless of whether we’re streaming something or watching a DVD. It doesn’t handle speed scenes or even fast captions well. The picture and sound are nice.

Set-up is challenging, and I have still not mastered it. Result is periodic attempts by others to view their computer or laptop screens on MY TV, not theirs. Still haven't figured out how to eliminate this annoying happening. Of course, my TV is locked out of what I was viewing until they eventually realize they have messed up.

After much configuration of the settings when watching streaming services such as Amazon Prime and Disney Plus; the HDR content is the worst. I don't know if the issue is the TV or the streaming services, but I can barely see anything in most if not all of the 4K movies and tv shows. I know HDR generally requires a peak brightness of 600 nits to be decent, but I would be happy enough if there was a way to turn it off when watching 4K content. This TV's peak brightness likely isn't anywhere near 400 nits, which is technically the bare minimum. I hope LG rolls out an update gives us a choice at least to not automatically use HDR when available, but I doubt it.
