Don’t watch a lot of tv in bedroom so probably most of the lacking doesn’t bother me. But for someone who watch a tv a lot maybe they should do research before getting it. Viewing does get affected depending on the amount of light in room. If too far from tv, viewing experience is not good as when you are close.

Dark scenes are so dark it's hard to make out any detail. The sharpness and colors are dull. I've tried every picture mode, adjusted the settings for each, and have taken all the glare off the screen possible, but I just haven't been able to achieve what I'd expect for a 4K UHD TV. I have an old Visio with a cracked screen I prefer to watch over this one. I use a sound bar, which is essential because the built-in speakers are horrible.
