The problem is that as I am typing this review my stove has stopped working for the 3rd time in less than 2 years. The previous 2 times the oven would not heat and circuit boards were replaced. This time it stopped working with food in the oven. Buyer beware. Looks good and works great but it can, and will, stop working at any moment.

Do not buy!

One of the times I'm glad I got a protection plan, they have replaced 4 different things and still doesn't cook right. Now the blue inside is flaking off into any food cooked open in the oven. Just stay away from this model for sure, maybe LG in general.

Posted .Use ceramic cooktop cleaner on the glass cooktop. Other creams may not be as effective or may scratch, damage or stain the cooktop surface. To maintain and protect the surface of the glass cooktop, follow these steps:1 Before using the cooktop for the first time, clean it with a ceramic cooktop cleaner. This helps protect the top and makes cleanup easier. 2 Use ceramic cooktop cleaner daily to help keep the cooktop looking new. 3 Shake the cleaning cream well. Apply a few drops of cleaner directly to the cooktop. 4 Use a paper towel to clean the entire cooktop surface. 5 Rinse with clear water and use a dry cloth or paper towel to remove all cleaning residue.
NOTE Do not heat the cooktop until it has been cleaned thoroughly. IMPORTANT If any sugar or food containing sugar (preserves, ketchup, tomato sauce, jellies, fudge, candy, syrups, chocolate) spills, or plastic or foil melts on the cooktop, remove the molten material IMMEDIATELY with a metal razor scraper (it will not damage the decorated cooking surface) while the cooking surface is still hot to avoid the risk of damage to the glass-ceramic surface. For your safety, please use an oven mitt or pot holder while scraping the hot cooking surface.

Trouble Pre Heating

Would not pre heat past 230 degrees. LG called service tech, took 2 trips to get fixed because LG tried to diagnose over phone. Year and half later, and we are having same problem. Buttons aren't most user friendly, have to press hard some times and in just the right spot.

Don’t Buy This Stove!

The cooktop has a textured surface, and it does not easily release stains. Shortly after the stove was installed, I accidentally let something boil over on the surface. That created a large permanent stain. But beyond that, daily use creates marks and stains that must be scrubbed with Barkeepers Friend and a scrub pad in order to be removed. I have never experienced such a poor stove top surface. It took some time for me to realize the extent of the problem, thus I was beyond the return window when I tried to return it. I was enamored initially with the beautiful blue oven. Yes, the oven is pretty. But if you like a clean stovetop, just know that you will be scrubbing this one daily. As a side note, I now wish I had bought a Whirlpool stove to support products made in the USA.

I believe this happened from constant heating and cooling off.

We had an electrical issue right after the warranty expired, and it resulted in the smell of burning plastic. This was not a new-product smell because we've used and owned this for year. We did some troubleshooting, and verified the ventilation was free and clear. During the service call, the technician found it was caused by one small wire. Two years later, we begin smelling a burning plastic smell when we turn the oven on. We again did troubleshoot including making sure the ventilation was clear. I cannot recommend a product that breaks almost immediately out of warranty, and definitely not one with repeated issues after less than five years.

I had the front panel replaced , 350.00 . Slowly lost funtions after 2 months . Just got a price of 705.00 to repair! The repairman said , LG now recommends replacing the control circuit board with the front panel ! I’m cutting my losses and replacing it with a Whirlpool ! The range still looks new , because it has been out if commission more than usable. I’ll never buy another LG product. Between unreliable,poor service,and difficulty getting parts , never again !
