They are not as sturdy as past models. Lots of technology and gadgets that can break. Sometimes simplicity is the best solution.

This is a huge big step up from most ranges. I really like the double oven function and the proof setting for making breads. Yes the bottom oven is low, but it does not bother me. I also like using the smaller top oven for cooking smaller foods. and keeping items warm. The other advantage is the temp of the oven is hotter then most ranges, and great for cooking pizza at 550 on a pizza stone.
I had a Maytag before this range, and hated every time I used it,

Out of stock repair parts/-5 customer service

I love the convection oven and having 2 ovens. 2 ovens has come in handy since just 25 months old the convection fan died. With that said you would think that it would be fairly important for a manufacturer to have the necessary repair parts when a failure occurs. Big problem that the required part is out of stock. I ordered it and waited for almost 3 weeks to finally get the part. Removed the part from the box, not very well padded/loose in box, and the motors windings were damaged. I go to order a replacement and guess what, out of stock and I will need to wait another minimum 2 to 3 weeks for another. Totally unacceptable and I'll never purchase or recommend an lg product again. I'm an hvac contractor and occasionally repair some appliances so I get asked all of the time about home heating and other products/appliances and I'll make it a point to steer people away from lg. Being a technician that has installed som lg heat pumps in the past I called the rep for this region twice and never received a call back. Very poor customer service. lg sucks!

I love this range so much. I use the lower convection oven a lot for all my baking and everything comes out perfect. I have also used the pizza function and the crust was perfect. The warming feature is super convenient and definitely is a time saver for me. I cannot wait to use this for Thanksgiving!

LG Double Gas Oven black stainless steel design. Owner for 2 years
Good points: Sleek design. Hides finger prints well. Gas range cooks evenly. Has middle griddle option. All digital display with separate controls and timers for each oven. Spacious bottom oven.
Bad points: Top oven is tiny. With the gas bar hanging in the middle it interferes with baking. Casserole dishes and pies have to be moved to lowest rack which causes uneven baking. (Electric might not have this problem?) The thing that has driven me to this review is that the knobs for the range are so backwards. They turn counter clockwise and they are right to left in order of use instead of left to right. EVERY TIME I use the range I choose the wrong knob. It is hard to break 25 years of muscle memory when cooking! We have accidentally turned a range knob to low instead of off because it is counter clockwise. We have come home twice with the range on low! The knobs frustrate me on a daily basis.

I am the primary cook in our house. WASP. I will be 70 in January 2022. I couldn't wait to get this range home and try out the many wonderful features it possesses. Three years later to almost the day we purchased it I cant wait to get rid of it. I never ever should have been advised to get the two door oven version of this product. The cook top is fine. It does everything a cook top should. Boils water, simmers spaghetti sauce, fries eggs n bacon, and the grill burner heats the Lodge iron grill just fine. the self cleaning ovens are good , turning the spills to a white powder easy to wipe up. The ovens I hate. The upper oven is designed with the broiler burner in the center where you might think it should be. But it sticks down so far that a tall pie has to be placed to the side as does a roster pan with top. It cooks uneven, hotter in the back than the front. So just turn the item you are baking/roasting around mid cycle. Ah that pesky broiler burner makes you pull it almost all the way out to make the turn. So just use the bottom oven. I really don't like getting on my knees at 70 to cook. So if all you are baking is cookies (you have to turn around) and muffins this might be the range for you, but not for me.

Good Idea not Great Design

I've had this oven for almost 4 years now. I bought it hoping it would last me 20 or more. Pros and Cons. Pros are the burners work well and the ultra burner boils water super quick but Cons the griddle doesn't heat evenly and fitting several pans on the stovetop at the same time is quite difficult no matter the size. The simmer burner gets too hot in my opinion and even at the lowest setting has a tendency to boil rather than simmer.
The Oven is what I like the least so other than it running off gas, which I love, it fails! It is difficult to cook large items like a turkey because of the size and no ability to remove the center piece to make it a single oven for large items. When the oven is in use if anything is on the top (I always have a cast iron pan on top) it will get scorching hot. Found that out the hard way. It is very difficult to regulate the temperature using both ovens at the same time. I have not had success finding the balance. If one oven is on 425 you can forget about cooking something on 325 in the other oven. I'm going to get this fixed and sell it. I need 2 new ignitors and I believe a thermostat in the top oven. I'm not sure if that's about right for repairs or it's early to be doing those? Anyway I wouldn't recommend this product but I do in general really like LG products and this oven won't deter me from buying from them again :)

I bought an LG gas stove from Best Buy. I have only owned it for about 6 months. I absolutely love to cook but now the oven will not turn on. I called LG and they said they will have someone to come take a look. Well over a week later someone came to my house. They walked in looked real quick and said we need to order parts and left. Well I’m still waiting for them to call me back to let me know when my parts will be in. I called LG again and the manager told me that she didn’t even see in the system that the company who came to fix my stove wants LG to order the parts. So, I asked when my stove is going to be fixed she couldn’t give me and answer. They refused to give me another stove to use in the mean time. So now I have to order food and spend more money. I’m extremely disappointed with the customer service and the item I purchased!! I should have went with a Samsung product.

danger stove

1.Very scary. The house start smell like a gas, someone by accident turned the knob on. Yes the knobs can be accidentally bumped to release gas without lighting the burners. Very dangers
2. The upper oven cooks unevenly, hotter in the back/cooler in the front. As such, baking is almost impossible to do well up top, from getting a uniform rise on cakes & muffins, to an even brown color on biscuits, to simply cooking a sheet of cookies evenly from row to row. You have to put everything close to the front so the back will not burned, or can open the door & rotate the pan
3. The lower oven bakes faster then the top oven (normal baking)
Everyday I regreat bying this stove.

Calibration does not work correctly

When the oven is calibrated to cook correctly at 350 degrees and the display is reset to cook at 400 degrees the internal oven temperature reads 450 degrees and I burn things. LG sent a technician. He confirmed my readings and said this is the way the oven is designed and there was nothing he could do. Several LG people confirmed this statement by phone and email. The technician did suggest I get a remote read out meat thermometer to monitor the oven temperature.

Broken, Leaks Gas; LG Won't Replace

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Three months after purchasing this range, we smelled a lot of gas in our house. On an emergency visit, the local gas company determined that the range was leaking gas, that it is unable to hold gas pressure, and that it is a hazardous appliance that could result in serious injury or death if operated. The gas company turned off gas to the LG Range.
The LG Range was well within warranty, so I contacted LG expecting them to take care of it. Instead, they sent a technician who decided he was smarter than the gas company, and there was nothing wrong with the range. Neither LG nor the technician used any common sense or independent judgment, and they refused to do anything. After numerous calls and emails, I have managed to reach other people at LG, who have only continued to punt the issue down the line without offering or providing any resolution at all.
And it's been more than two weeks, with a family of six trying to make school lunches and dinners using nothing but a microwave.
Apparently, LG was content to let us continue using a hazardous range that leaks gas and could seriously injure or kill us, and now they are under no hurry whatsoever to even respond appropriately and help us. This has been a disastrous experience. So much for that warranty.
