    Annoyed

The picture quality is really good, and you can't beat the price for a 60" Plasma TV. However, there are a number of features that annoy me to no end. 1. When you watch a program that is 4:3, the bars on the left and right of the screen are grey instead of black. This is particularly annoying in a dark room because the grey bars are especially noticeable. 2. I had read that the screen had a matte finish, but this is not true. It is a glossy screen which means that when the sun is out, or there are lights on in the room, everything reflects on the screen. This makes it very difficult to watch TV during the day. 3. There is no zoom feature, so if you are watching a standard def channel that broadcasts in 4:3, but the program was originally 16:9 so there are bars on the top and bottom, there is no way to zoom so that the original picture fills the screen, eliminating the bars. I occasionally record shows in standard def to save space on my DVR, but now I'll be watching all of those shows with black bars on top and bottom and grey bars on left and right. I would not recommend this TV to anyone unless they live in a dark basement and only watch programs in 16:9. This will be the last time I buy anything from LG.

I love this TV. It has an awesome picture, sount is great, hangs flat on the wall. I use this TV as our primary TV and for watching movies via internet thru a PC. It has ample inputs to accomodate all my cobbled together electronics. I couldn't be any happier with this purchase!

The TV is awesome if you use it when your in the dark. any tiny bit of light gives off the worst glare. i live in a dark basement and it looks amazing down there. If you want this for a family room look elsewhere. It also only works with hdmi 1.3 and 1.4 only.

We were forced to find another sound system. Could have picked from any surround sound or sound bar but really knew nothing about them. We chose to hook up to our existing stereo system which gives us great sound. We felt you should not have to purchase, (or use existing) additional equipment in order to get any kind of sound quality from this television, it should have had adequate sound from the television alone.

I bought it on Friday and on Saturday, the price went down $100.00. I went back to Best Buy with receipt and received credit. I don't like the reflection you get because it is not non-glare glass. Not sure why LG used regular glass. This type of glass on a TV is meant for a media rooms where it is dark. We don't have one but we still enjoy our TV. Thanks!

Very nice TV for the price but needs to be in a darker room with minimal windows would be ideal. There is a difference btwn Plasma and LED. We purchased a 42 Inch LED TV as well and the screen quality is better off of the LED.

I purchased this for my wife who has difficulty with almost every tech device. She loves this TV. I wish we could have bought it years ago. I would recommend it for anyone not needing direct Internet connections or large number of inputs, etc.

My 2 year old Samsung 58" Plasma had burn-ins from online gaming. Luckly I purchased the Black Tie Protection & I was able to pick a new TV due to the lack of parts for the Samsung. So, I chose the 60" LG. I was told by the sales rep. that Plasma's no longer have burn- in issues. To my surprise the same day the TV was delivered there were burn-ins after just half and hour. The point is the burn-ins still occur, but they eventually fade away. I didnt want to take the risk of having a permnant burn-in due to overuse such as a all night gaming session or a ESPN logo a year from now. The glare on the TV is very annoying if you have alot of light coming in your home. There are limited ports for HDMI & USB connections compared to my old Samsung which was 4-2 compared to 3-1 HDMI & USB. If you are a serious gamer this is NOT the TV for you. Needless to say this TV is going back & my next venture will be a LCD or a LED for my gaming needs.
