We purchased this TV a few days ago and couldn’t be happier. It was super easy to set up and operate. Along with 4K HDMI cable the quality of pictures is amazing. Works well with our cable and has quite a selections of internet channels for those with WiFi.

    Great TV, *terrible* instructions

I purchased this TV about 10 days ago and I'm quite pleased with its performance. The picture, after a bit of tweaking by moi, is bright and clear. The TruMotion 120 feature really works, I can see no "trails" when viewing hi-speed activities. The price I paid, $699, was a great value - exactly what I paid for a 60" Mitsubishi DLP TV I bought 7 years ago. The LG's picture and features FAR surpass the Mitsu's, However, the un-packing and setup instructions are a BAD JOKE - nothing but little hand drawn pictures that do nothing to help the process. And the enclosed "Owners Manual" is all of 3 pages - you have to go online to download the real Owners Manual. This should have been included in the original packaging. Nonetheless, this is a solid buy and a great deal at $699....

Amazing picture and very good sound.

This TV has an amazing picture- sometimes it is so good it is distracting. For example when you look at a movie you notice what fabric something is made out of, or reflections on glass. I have the 60". And it has so many features I rarely use my roku device anymore- it has VUDU, HULU, Netflix, and about a hundred free internet channels, and youtube. People look like they are standing right in front of you. And the sound quality is so good I did not need to buy a sound bar.

If there was a 4.5 rating I would have chosen that one. TV is a great piece of tech for what I paid which was 699. Im very happy with it. The reason I took off a star is because a few times I lost my connection and had to reboot the TV. Its right next to the wifi and should not happen. The color is great. I am really happy with the amount of sound that comes out. I used to watch my Vizio at 40 level. This tv only needs to be at 15 and im thrilled. The Smart apps arent bad either. I wish there was more but hopefully they are on the way. I highly recommend this tv if you want a big size and save a few bucks. Believe me. It took a week for me to decide and im very happy with my choice. VERY happy.

TV great... customer service not accurate

First and foremost, I love the TV. I've always loved LG and this did not disappoint. However the gentleman in the store assured me that I would be able to access the Xfinity app on this TV so that I could stream TV without having a cable box in this particular room in my house. I have an Xfinity subscription, so when I called them to ask why I could not access the app, the customer service rep said that they are a ways away from being able to provide LG TVs access to their app. I'm disappointed because I made sure to ask all the right questions to avoid having to connect a set-top box and now I'll have to rework the room to make space for the box. I just ask that the customer service folks at BB get better at answering questions accurately...

TV Lasted Less Than 6 Weeks

My first review I gave this set 5 stars and was very happy, now 6 weeks later the worst TV I have ever owned. After just 6 weeks this TV died, stopped working as if unplugged for no reason. LG has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Wants to send a repair tech from Palm Beach Over 250 miles from where I live. No time frame and I was told by LG that the set would probably not be fixed on the first visit if it requires parts, How could it not require parts. LG has refused to exchange this defective 6 week old set for a new one. Best Buy has stepped up to help and will send a Geek Squad Tech in 6 days and will have most parts with them on visit. I am greatful to Best Buy although I think on a set this new they should offer an exchange as well not repair. Who knows how long this set will last after repair, very disappointed.

    Good pic, weak wireless

Set-up was easy and the picture is good, however its ability to pick up my WiFi signal is non-existent, so shows/movies keep buffering every 10 seconds or so. Basically, the wireless capability is pretty much useless. LG customer service manually installed some software, it worked for a day, and then we had the same problem. We had a Roku on our previous TV in the same exact spot, and the Roku had no problem picking up our WiFi. Will have to buy a Roku and hook it up.

    big screen but weak picture

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I am not a purist or a TV snob but this really doesn't have very good picture quality when you switch to live video streamed in on the HDMI input from HD DirectTV. The store demo of static photos looks fantastic but real world video is washed out with very poor dynamic contrast and grey foggy blacks. To see for yourself just turn on the tv and before "no signal screen demo" starts you will see an all black screen with the back light on. The black screen is a grey fog with the light bleeding through the LCD. I swapped HDMI cables and also verified the incoming stream using my old Panasonic Plasma TV that the DirectTV was good. I fought with every imaginable setting for 3 days before giving up. I can't believe this is truely a HDR receiver. I paid $600 for a door buster price and i don't think it is worth that. Returning for a higher priced smaller tv with better picture quality. I hate returning this tv because it is huge and has a decent picture but not what i expected from LG.

    Exremely poor documentation and setup

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The automatic setup would not work. LG tech support was useless. The documentation was useless. I finally figured the setup by trial and error. The picture quality is very good, but the ability to modify settings and displays is complex or nonexistent.. You have little or no control over what is displayed in smarttv or input mode.

    Streaming apps have issues sometimes

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Bought the LG 60” tv (60UJ6300). Not sure if it’s the webOS system or the TV itself, but the apps would sometimes crash (can’t select a show in Hulu, or Netflix would pause frequently). When it works, the quality is pretty good though. Just wish the apps or TV firmware would have more frequent updates available (or just not have those issues at all).

    Poor quality

I have 5 flat screens and this was my first LG. I have never had an issue with the others going back 10 years. This LG only lasted 1.5 years and now needs a new motherboard for a $593 repair. I will stick to Samsung, Vizeo, and Sony for now on. I had issues with HDMI connections from the beginning. TV would state there was nothing connected when there was, but then it would work anyway. Eventually I had to start switching around the 3 HDMI connections as different game consoles and Xfinity box quit working. By the end none of the HDMI connections worked so I took down the TV, got out an old Samsung, put it on a cabinet and everything worked again. This is when I finally realized it was the LG TV and not my HDMI cords or game consoles causing the issue. Of course at this point I was past the 12 month warranty so LG is not willing to assist in anyway. Stay away from LG products. They look great with a very slim design but do not last. Poor quality.

Cross your fingers that you don't receive this item defective or you're in for a rough few days and a lot of wasted time trying to arrange a replacement! I was so disappointed to receive this item with no working picture, but hey it happens. The real issue is horribly RUDE and unconcerned customer service. Two days later I have still not been able to arrange for an exchange. An all around horrible experience, I will never purchase anything from best buy again!

The TV has had this issue since we bought it, and has continued to be a problem. GEEK Squad is supposed to be coming to look at it, but its been almost 2 weeks trying to get someone here. I'm positive the WIFI module is bad (BTW..we paid for the extended Geek squad service..not impressed).
