Has a number of features I like , energy saver [ not on all the time - only when warmer than what you set it at , remote control , and very quite .

So far it has performed very well, I think it's a little louder than advertised but it isn't bad at all. It cools well but it has to be installed properly. For it's size and weight it is very good. If it continues to perform as it is, I will update this review to 5 stars.

Fits short replacement windows
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this unit because of replacement windows that have very little opening height (12.5in max). It is extremely difficult to find units this small. Does the unit cool? Yes. Does it dehumidify well? No. This is being used in a house that has central ac, but the other person in the house has little tolerance for anything cooler than 73-75 during the summer. They're ok with 68-72 in the winter, so that's a puzzler... Simply having this unit in the window causes a substantial increase in relative humidity (6-20%). The compressor only runs for a maximum of 2 minutes (typically 30-60 seconds). This is not sufficient to condense much moisture. The other frustrating thing is that if it is, say, 72 inside, but 60 outside due to good radiational cooling, the unit generally ceases to cool. The setting can be on 60, but at most it will cool to 67-68. It never gets cooler than 65 if set to 60, and that is with an assist from the central ac. If you are someone who likes it cool to sleep, if your window can fit a taller unit, don't get this.

Display functions need to be re-designed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Display is facing upwards, so much that you have to be right over the display to view the functions, So unless you have the remote Control in your hand you have to walk to the unit to see what is running. Not such big issue as the unit itself is running and cooling just fine.
