Disappointed in LG
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you buy any LG product, pay for extended warranty through Best Buy. After purchasing a TV that I truly enjoyed (for 18 months) every aspect of, it died. I thought I was buying a TV that I would get to enjoy for years! The blacks were incredible, the remote was innovative. I even replaced another TV in the house with LG based on how impressed I was! I'm sure you can imagine how disappointed I was when it died after 18 months. After months of working with LG on repairs and spending hours with a service tech, I asked for a replacement. LG arranged to pick up the TV and once they received it, would issue a check. It's been almost a full month and they have yet to receive the TV, which means I am still waiting on my check for replacement...I mean it's only almost a couple thousand dollars they owe me. Had I purchased the protection plan, Best Buy would've resolved this. Additionally, my LG fridge died after 13 months. LG would not resolve. Thankfully, I purchased the protection plan and Best Buy was awesome at resolving. If you risk buying this or anything LG.....get Best Buy's protection plan!

Third time is not a charm
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this because I like LG and I wanted a 3D tv. This tv is good. I like how the colors are vibrant. However, I don't know if it was a production issue, but I had to return three tv's because of what is called "dirty screen effect". For an HDR tv, I was not getting a clear picture. I am moving up to the 9500 series.

POOR QUALITY CONTROL
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have gone through three of these TVs all 3 with vertical banding and light bleed issues which is extremely unacceptable for the high price. If you could find a good one that does not have those issues then it would be worth the price. Great picture quality but it does suffer from Judder which all LEDs do. TV has good features but poor craftsmanship.

Returned due to excessive light bleed on top
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this up since the 4K TV I had purchased a year and a half ago didn't support HDR, and I was tired of my Xbox One S nagging me. I looked around and wanted to maintain my 3d capability, so this was the one I chose to replace my Samsung. The product description was "Silver and Black" yet mine was silver on the front bezel, and all white on the back - no black to be found anywhere. The assembly was simple, although one of the screws for the stand assembly wouldn't go in far enough to prevent scratching the surface below the stand, so I left that one screw out. That piece is attached by 5 screws though, so I wasn't worried about support. After so many years of small black or nearly bezel-less TV's, I found the silver all around the front edge to be a bit distracting. Setup was easy though, and it integrated fine into my AV setup and my Harmony remote. The picture looked good, but I wasn't as pleased with the HDR as I had been on some other sets I had seen, but my biggest issue was across the top, there was just so much light bleed, it was like little white arcs from spotlights shining down. I've seen that even on my Samsung TV's when in torch mode, but I did not have things cranked up, and even in eco mode with darker brightness settings and non HDR, it was way too distracting in dark scenes. Even playing Destiny, there was a very odd flare on the right side as the "loading" logo animated. That entire last 1/5th of the screen would grow a little brighter and darker as that small icon on the lower right animated. I have never seen that response on any other TV or even projector I'd used to play Destiny. It was as if that entire vertical swath was all being controlled by that little icon at the bottom. All told there were just too many issues so I returned it the next day.

AVOID!!! Nothing but problems!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.LG quality has gone down, while their prices have gone up. Bought this tv from Best Buy a few days ago. Had to return the first one because of VERY bad vertical banding (Dirty Screen Effect). The second one I now have, the tv picture went completely bonkers (after 3 hours of watching tv) and was jumping all over the place. I turned it off, unplugged it, the picture is still going crazy. What has happened to the quality in these tvs???? I read other reviews about the other tv brands I was considering (Sony, Samsung, Vizio) and people are saying they have light bleed issues, vertical banding, the sound comes on but no picture, and even the tv refusing to turn back on after 5 weeks.... This is completely unacceptable to a consumer that pays this much for something! I have a 4 year old lcd 55 inch 3d LG tv that is just fine. I guess I got in right under the buzzer before their quality took a nasty turn for the worst! Needless to say, this tv is going back ASAP. Luckily these tvs showed their true colors while still in Best Buy's ridiculous 15 day return policy! I am taking myself out of the tv buying market for awhile until these companies get their act together!

Worst Ever!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Owned TV for 7 months and it started failing with power issues and pictures issues. Called LG took them 4 days to schedule repair. Then technician couldn't make it so moved it another day. Then he repaired unit and 15 minutes after he left same problems. They rescheduled appointment forgot about appointment rescheduled didn't have parts rescheduled now its been 6 weeks and it still has not been fixed. If you have no problems its great but if you do my advise is to buy a new TV schedule service and sale it once repaired.

Very Bad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Shortly after the 30 day store return warranty was over vertical lines started to appear on the background. Now I have to deal with factory warranty and repair. Should have kept the Samsung. I see vertical dark and bright lines on the panel. I cant believe this would happen on a new LG TV from Magnolia dept. very disappointing.
