Not the clear picture I expected.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the LG 55 in my bedroom. Not the high def like this one and the picture is so much clearer on the 55". I expected more for the money, but overall it's ok. Just not a crisp picture. Disappointed in that.

great picture poor browser
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is great but the web browser does not fully implement html5. All the docs I read and tech support say it does but I can't stream videos from many sites (not flash sites). Disappointed, had to use an HDMI input for a pc.

Didn't Do It for Me- It went back.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV had some good reviews and looked good in the showroom. Got it home and just could not get past the silver edging. It made the TV look smaller and distracted from the experience of watching TV. Colors were just ok. TV interface was good, that part I will miss. Went with a new Sony and was much more impressed and happy. Better quality, better colors and just enjoyed so much more!

Bad Backlight
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Black backlighting is terrible on this set. Otherwise, a great set. Just wish there was a way to correct it.

Best TV Right Now
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the first 4K TV LG put out in 2014 and have been very happy with it and still use it in another room after I replaced it with this new one. I had been holding out to get my next 4K until something that supported HDR10 and Dolby Vision was available and this TV does not disappoint. I also have the Samsung Ultra HD Blu-Ray player to get the best 4K content possible on this thing. I have watched the 4K Blu Rays; LIFE OF PI, SALT, X-MEN, MAD MAX, THE MARTIAN and a few others and they all look spectacular. THE MARTIAN looks the best in my book, and LIFE OF PI comes in a close second. I have watched several regular Blu-Rays and they all looked good too and noticeably better in some cases. Not all regular HD content looks better and sometimes the flaws are more obvious on this TV, but in general everything looks better. The picture doesn't look its best when it comes out of the box and I recommend some tweaking to get it the way you like it. Turn of the Motion blur stuff and adjust HDR to way you prefer it and definitely turn of local dimming. It took a few days of tweaking for me to get it were I like it for different content. In general the picture seems much darker than most screens and that I believe is do to the deeper blacks, higher contrast rates and HDR compatibility. The blacks on this TV are darker than anything you have ever seen on a TV and they add a depth and level of detail that isn't there on even the best non-HDR 4K televisions. The picture is also brighter in a much different way than we are used to with most televisions, you have to see it to appreciate it. As with other LGs their interface is very easy to use and has some nice features the other interfaces don't. This TV also does a great job detecting your equipment and automatically selecting the right input for whichever active port you are using. I have a 4K DirecTV geni attached to this TV too, and while the picture doesn't look enhanced, it is very clear. I was worried the higher resolution would make the 720 1080 content on the TV look bad, but it doesn't. It looks just fine. Great TV. Also, looks great with streaming 4K content... I have watched Netflix and YouTube and been happy with it. I had been waiting for this TV to come out since it was one of the first to support the latest and greatest specs and it doesn't disappoint.

Now I've had it over a week so I can give better i
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well it has a very few problems like , if you sit to close you can see a little bit of a soap opera effect and like the led zones barely but who sits 3 feet from this bright of a picture so sitting about 7 to 8 feet it has one of the best pictures I've seen for led not Oled ,well that's why they are 10 grand and these are 1500 bucks , also XBOXONE S cable that comes with it will not work on this TV , so I bought all 27 GBPS hdmi cables and it fixed everything, even the soap opera and led zones in background , this remote that comes with this is super awesome in my book , laser pointer on screen like a teacher would have in classroom but we use it to point and click on the multiple and I mean multiple options for everything. Even my 1600 watt Samsung Giga sound system is hook up at same time with my $300 LG SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM AND THE TV remote controls volume for both and I didn't even try to hook it up that way , we'll it's super loud and neighbors hate me now. Haha ,BUT OVERALL MUST BUY for the price and I'm sorry but this has a much better picture than the Samsung that is about 400 dollars higher .

Beautiful Picture, WebOS and magic remote GREAT
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has a beautiful picture. I originally bought a 65 inch Sony 750 series Bravia and was not happy with it all. Brought it back and bought this and I couldn't be happier. The magic remote with webOs is awesome. One thing this TV does well is upscale you 1080p and make it look crisp and clear. And with there not being much 4K content out there and having xfinity X1 upscaling was important to me. If you buy this tv you won't be sorry. It's a great tv. I really give this tv 4.75 out of 5. The only reason I don't give it a solid 5 is because of the stand. It is really wobbly in the stand. Mounting this tv on the wall would be ideal. But don't let the stand stop you. It isn't so bad that your tv is gonna fall. But for an expensive tv I would of liked to see it a little more secure.

Great TV, Bad LG App content store.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture quality overall, remote for this model was very basic, hopefully the newer versions come with Magic remote where you can speak into. Sound is excellent as well. The only big Con is that LG content store is terrible, there is no way to upload the latest version of the apps nor is there an option to upgrade the LG OS software. General apps are fairly basic, assuming the newer models have a better way to update the apps as and when there are new versions of the apps are available like for Netflix, Prime, youtube etc., Also, it doesnt support YouTube on LG OS but there is a LG compatible version of Youtube available which works fine.

Picture/Color doesn't look good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The screen resolution pic/color looks like any other cheap TV. No matter how much I play with the settings I still can't get it right. But the worse things about it is that it takes a while to turn on, its the weirdest thing I've ever seen. It's all black for like 30 to 60 sec. Also it's constantly asking for updates, that's annoying. I'm very disappointed with the purchase.
