Great for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv is great for the price. It is the biggest you will find in 4K for the price. With that being said, you pay for what you get. Don't expect this to be just as good as the $2,000 Samsung hanging on the wall at Best Buy but it is pretty close. Back to the tv. Picture is great for gaming and blu rays, depending on your cable provider it seems like some programs run pretty blurry because they can't get anywhere near what the tv is trying to display them at. Live programming looks really good such as news and sports. All in all your going to get a really good 65 inch for $999 that is 4K but keep in mind that there is zero 4K broadcasts available unless you watch a short clip on YouTube that's broadcasted in 4K you really can't tell the actual power of this tv. Overall I would definitely buy this tv again. It has a great bright picture and looks better than my 60 inch Samsung led. The ONLY reason I am giving this tv 4 stars is because I'm not too fond of how the menus work. It takes a little while for the tv to power on and when hitting the menu button it takes a little while to load especially while trying to change inputs.

Black screen even before 2 year
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked great until it went completely black at 1.5years. Don't do anything out of the ordinary. Just a cheap product that no one will stand behind unless you pay them more money. Won't ever buy an LG again. Ever. Nor will I buy from Best Buy. My older TV have last 5-8 years.

Amazing deal for the money, but some drawbacks...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought both this and 49" version of this TV during the early Black Friday deals for Elite/Elite plus members. The 49" version is being used almost exclusively for gaming on an Xbox One. There aren't many reviews on these models around because they were built specifically for Black Friday and weren't part of LG's main line in 2015. If you are wondering how a 65" 4K LED TV can be <$1000, it is because these are built with slightly less capable hardware than their main line that is sold throughout the year at much higher prices. That being said, the main area of issue I see is input lag for gaming. You have to make sure that you set the picture mode to GAME, and enable HDMI-PC for the input your console is plugged into. I've had several LG and Samsung TVs and have several years of experience trying to make them work better with gaming consoles. GAME mode obviously turns off all post-processing of the incoming signal, things like Motion Eye Care (the feature that interpolates your 24, 30, or 60hz incoming signal and converts it to "120hz"), Super Resolution, dynamic contrast, etc. HDMI-PC turns off overscan and sets aspect ratio to 16:9, and changes color mode to RGB to match what the Xbox One is putting out. Do these things, and you will notice a significant reduction in input lag, at the expense of marginally worse picture. You won't even notice this marginally worse picture after 5 minutes of playing a game, it is only obvious when doing a side-by-side comparison. Also, to elaborate on the 120hz vs 60hz misconception: there are no 120hz sources widely available. Fast action stuff like sports and racing may look "better on 120hz" but understand that the signal coming in is no more than 60hz. The Motion Eye Care feature is interpolating the extra frames by averaging the frame before and after it. It is generating 60 extra, artificial frames per second and inserting them between the source frames. Think of the processing power required to do this, and you will understand the extra 50-150ms of input lag that occurs when you're trying to do something like play a game or use your TV as a computer monitor. That is why it is key to turn these features off for playing games. TL;DR: This TV is awesome for the money, but don't expect perfection for $1000. This is like buying the base model 3 series vs the M3. It's still a BMW, but it's not going to have all the power and features of the flagship models.

Great so far, easy setup, great picture quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just bought the 65" (6450) from Best Buy earlier today after seeing the deal posted here. So far everything has been GREAT !!! It is fairly light for being 65 inches. I can lift it myself and move it around. Unpacking was easy. Wall mounting was straight forward (I was just swapping out a 50 inch to this one, so most hardware was already in place). I didn't care about the smart tv part at all, but so far it has worked out well. Internet detection was smooth and wireless connection was straight forward. We use antenna, and that step took a few minutes for the detection and found all the expected channels. Football was on, and picture was crisp and clear as expected (I have yet to fuss with any settings, default good so far). Haven't tried the sound as I hooked up optical out to our receiver and have listened that way. Set up netflix via the tv and that too worked. watched an episode of TopGear and the cars were pretty. You can see all of Jeremy's wrinkles. It has a grey bezel. Not black. I was expecting black. But it is a dark charcoal grey. The feet look plastic and flimsy. Ours is on a wall so I haven't tried the feet. Amazon setup also smooth. Haven't watched anything yet though. Remote is simple. But I admire it. It is intuitive. The menu system is decent. Reliability: Working great after 4 hours ! Wink I was less than gentle getting onto the wall, so it survived my rough ways. Hope this helps someone out there.

Great TV for a great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My initial decision was to buy Sony 65 850 which would be going on sale for $1799 on Black Friday. I decided to stop at the Best Buy to look at it and noticed that 65" LG was on sale for $999. I'm not going to say that there is no difference between LG and Sony just like there is a difference between LCD and OLED but to some people it might not be a buying factor. I tried watching different type of content with various picture settings and I was pleased coming from 6years old 1080p 55inch Samsung. In fact, I connected my PC with GTX960 graphics card which supports HDMI 2.0 and 2160p at 60Hz and the picture was incredibly sharp. I don't remember having such a positive experience when connecting PCs to 1080p TVs. I'm not sure what kind of motion blur or poor black problems other reviewers were having but to me both things mentioned were virtually non existant. Overall, very satisfied with it. P.S. Even though I don't use its smart capabilities, Amazon Prime and Youtube apps work great.

Awesome TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After researching a dozen TVs (including this one) I saw this TV advertised on sale for $700 off... no-brainer. Unpacked it and set it up in under 30 minutes (including wi-fi). This TV has an awesome picture, almost feels like you're in the picture, and switching to other devices or apps is a breeze.

TV just shuts off by itself
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.purchased this TV 6 months back and lately I noticed that it just turns off by itself. Initially, it turned off by itself for about 3-5 minutes and then turned on after several reboots . However, yesterday, it turned off again for 3 hours. I can see the power light on but nothing on the screen. I tried to reboot it several times and did not work. 3 hours later, it turned back on . I will never again buy any LG product!

Great TV for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great buy for the price. Super picture. The only thing I might comment on is that the volume output at 100% is not that loud. So if you really like loud movies and the like, you might consider a sound bar or plugging the audio into your stereo. Of course it may just be me getting hard of hearing too....:-)

Great price for a good TV...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will start by saying that I mainly got this unit for the bigger size as I was replacing a 55" LED. Couldn't beat the price at $999 ($899 after my 10% off coupon). I am happy with the product and picture for the price, but I did expect a bit more "wow" factor from a 4k 120 Hz TV. I will say though...my XBOX One and PS4 both look better on this TV compared to my last...

Great value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm basically a cheap person, but I like nice things. When it came to a new TV to replace the Mitsubishi DLP that was going out, I decided to look at the new 4K options. I wasn't going to spend $2000 on a new TV. I debated between going real cheap with Sieki or Westinghouse, or going with a little bit more trusted name. It came down to the LG or the Vizio and both would have worked out. I went with the LG because of just a hair bit better TV reputation. You have to tinker with the Advanced TV settings to get it where it needs to be. After Geek Squad mounted it, the picture wasn't great. Once I set the resolution to ultra high and black levels to high, the picture improved greatly. I also had to make sure the cable box and the Playstation were set to 1080p (they don't go any higher then that and they were set at 720p). Some people writing bad reviews may not have checked the other components such as the device sending the signal to the TV to make sure it was giving the correct output resolution. This TV looks wonderful. It's not a $5000 OLED, but for $999 it was a great buy and worth every penny. Also worth the money to have Geek Squad come out to mount it on the wall.
