Very Good 4K LCD TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not the best 4K LCD TV you can buy. There, I said it. With that out of the way, it's a pretty darn good one, especially for the price! Yes, it has some minor "clouding" and "Dirty Screen Effect (DSE)" as do most LCD panels, regardless of price. But they're only really noticeable if you're looking for them. Otherwise, once the test equipment and critical eye are put away, this LG panel has proven to be a solid choice that can produce some truly breathtaking images. WebOS 2.0 also works pretty well, though there are a few occasional bugs here and there (namely with the YouTube app). I'm confident these will be squashed with future updates. In summary, if you want a very good, large, 4K screen that doesn't break the bank, I heartily recommend this LG.

Great value in a 4K TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disclaimer - I buy a lot of TVs (hundreds every year) as part of my job. My go to brand since 2007 is LG when I need something special. Great bang per buck and way fewer problems than any other brand from South Korea. Bought this unit TV as an early Valentine present for my wife. This is a really fine TV and was a tremendous value at the Black Friday price of $1,299.99 and even better at $999. Set up was easy BUT - the panel is really thin and should be handled with more care than a smaller, thicker panel. While the panel isn't that heavy two I strongly recommend that you find a helper when manipulating the panel. The picture quality is exceptional. LG's up scaling software does a great job rendering a 480 or 720p signal. It's almost like watching 3-D! Haven't tried 1080p or any 4K content so I can't comment on that aspect. Sound quality is more than adequate throughout the audible spectrum. (I'm a bit deaf so am not a good judge for sound quality BUT I have no problem with this TV). One thing which I find strange is a feature App called "Live TV". "Live TV" seems to work only with the 75 ohm (antenna or coax) cable - no HDMI inputs need apply. (It may also work with composite or component inputs - I don't know - didn't try). Another two or two three USB inputs would have been nice but at this price I can live with one. All things considered this TV has everything the average viewer might desire at a heck of a good price. LG TVs with higher model numbers do offer more of everything (sophisticated features such as 3-D, more USB ports, features geared towards gamers are videophiles) but for the average Joe this unit has everything you need.

Native 60Hz refresh rate
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, I purchased this 65UF6450 last night 11/22/15 from my local bestbuy after going in there for a new samsung ultra HDTV. after looking at prices and never have had any experience with 4k i opted to go with a less expensive brand which was LG. There was hardly any reviews for this TV so out of impulse I went ahead and bought it, being that it was priced at $999 65 inches 4k 120hz , so i thought. I ask an expert there at best buy and they informed me that trumotion 120hz was indeed 120hz refresh "native "rate. I guess they dont know there products very well. After I got home, excited about my new purchase i quickly connected the televsion and mounted it just in time for sunday night football, what a dissapoinment, you can clearly see the blur ...keep in mind this is just connected to an hd antenna but SNF is broadcast in HD, no cable provider or directv. I began to mess with the settings where i was able to get a decent view, but not what i expected for a 4k trumotion 120hz. So today i will connect my ps3 to see how games look at 1080p , however i talked to LG today where they informed me this model 65UF6450 is 60hz native refresh rate, and that trumotion 120hz is actually a trademark of LG which is what they call (Motion Clarity Index) that is not the actual refresh rate which it seems everyone at BB and other stores are marketing this product as. I still have a couple of days to play with the settings and calibration , if i cannot get a good picture i will definitely return and spend the extra money. My current 40inch samsung has better picture in HD. I also connected my Amazon fire stick and it did not look clear at all, a lot of distortion and blur. if anyone has had better luck calibrating or know of settings to try please post, I will post another review after I connect my PS3 and see how that goes. If anyone wants to see the transcript from chat i had with LG please post your email and i will forward so everyone sees their responds!

IT PERFORMS EXACTLY AS IT SHOULD FOR CHEAP TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THIS IS A 4K TV...BUT ITS A BLACK FRIDAY SKU, MEANING THAT IT IS MADE MORE CHEAPLY WITH LESSER SPEC'S AND NOT AS GOOD AS THE OTHERS. BUT I WILL SAY... KNOW YOUR STUFF BEFORE LEAVING A NEGATIVE REVIEW. IT PERFORMS EXACTLY AS EXPECTED FOR A 4K 60HZ TV. THE MOTION RATE IS 120 BUT THATS THE SOFTWARE YOU HAVE TO GO INTO THE SETTINGS AND TURN ON THE UHD COLOR AND ALSO IN ADVANCED GO TO SMOOTH...UNDER THE MOTION SETTINGS TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THIS TV AND IMPROVE THE COLOR AND MINIMIZE THE BLUR..AND IF YOU HAVE AN ANTENNA...DONT BOTHER...THE TV DOESNT DO ANY OF ITS UPSCALING EXCEPT THROUGH HDMI PORTS ....I HOPE THIS CLEARS THINGS UP....

Meh. It's cheap for a reason
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.60hz panel, and blur is noticeable Colors aren't impressive, my LG 1080 outperforms it easy Input lag is undeniably present For the money it's a steal don't get me wrong, but if are looking for a nice picture check out the Sony 65x810c, or Samsung 60js8000 these tvs have the nanocrystal tech with a billion more colors that standard UHD. Also have 120hz NATIVE panels. Or LG 65uf7700 with a 120hz and IPS panel Happy hunting!

Beware of cheap remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My 65UF6450 arrived today. Picture looks good but it comes with the "cheap" remote that cannot control any cable boxes or external devices. I was not expecting a fancy fully universal remote but at least give me the option to control one STB or DVD player without having to swap out remotes. The manual for this TV refers to the "LG MAGIC REMOTE" and makes no mention of the generic remote that it came with and I when I called them they said sorry if you want to control cable box you have to go out and buy the magic remote separate. Seems like this TV is a stripped down cheaper version of its counterparts but they include the manual for the better TV along with this one leaving you to wonder what else you are missing.

Good TV for the Cost
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV for myself for Christmas. It was available online as well as in store, so I avoided the Black Friday rush and simply bought it online. I must say that Samsung probably makes a better TV b/c I have noticed that their colors are richer. HOWEVER, the 65 inch Samsung TV was $400 more than this one. And the 55 inch Samsung was the same price, naturally smaller. So you get what you pay for. This TV is not that bad and I have NEVER had the Soap Opera Effect that people keep talking about. If you have the money then purchase a Samsung. However, this is a good TV for its price.

Too early to tell, but good TV.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just bought this TV yesterday as a pre-Black Friday deal. Great price and great brand! It's too early to tell, however, if the picture quality lives up to the hype. RIght now, anything I watch on Hulu and Netflix looks spectacular. Even some 4k YouTube videos look incredible. When I watch cable programming, it's a bit pixelated. It's hard to tell if this is an issue with the TV or with the cable provider and/or my signal. I believe I've heard that most cable programming is not compatible or the best fit with 4k, but not sure if that show affect the picture quality to where it's pixelated. Doing some more research and will update my review when I find out out more. For now, it's a bit of a relief to know that non-cable programming looks great!

Great for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I first ordered the TV before any real reviews had been written. I used to sell home theatre and understand black Friday SKUs, but LG is the only tv brand I've ever bought. We received the TV this past Monday, mounted it and turned it on. For the price - the picture is great! I'm not expecting something I wouldn't pay for, but I'm also not expecting some faded out non-sense. When switching scene (using an all black screen) it looks like it turns off but it doesn't. I imagine this is what OLED does when shutting down the pixels for the true black. We haven't experienced any issues with this TV and it looked great wen playing Titanfall on it.

Best purchase of the year!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the only TV I ever purchased that completely exceeded my expectations . I had it installed by geek squad this morning and I've been watching it all day in awe. I picked it up on Black Friday for $ 999 and I'm also very happy that I purchased the matching LG sound bar which enables me to control everything with the same remote. The motion is fantastic and the picture is crystal clear. The app choice is abundant in the processor speed is very fast in loading Netflix, Amazon Hulu, etc. be aware that there are only three HDMI inputs for the set. It was more than enough for me.

Instantly returned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this product on 11/22. None of the staff really knew what the specs where beyond what the website stated. I bought it, took it home (just in case it was something I wanted), did some more research, and immediately returned it the following day. This is a 60hz screen while the next size down (60UF7300) is a 120hz screen. Just my opinion, I would rather have a slightly smaller screen at a better refresh rate

Not Compatible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Story of my life. I just bought this TV last night. Took it home and set it up. Quick and easy as in all the reviews. I was networked and watching TV within a half hour of un-boxing. It was pretty straight forward hooking it up to my receiver which is a Sony STR-DH740 7.1 Unit which supports ARC and 4K compatible devices. Everything was fine until I opened up Netflix in the apps..NO AUDIO. None of the apps would produce audio from my receiver. Although everything else works fine (Xbox One, PC and Cable box) The TV somehow won't recognize that I went from watching TV to opening up an app and passing the audio of the app through rather than the cable box. I contacted LG immediately and spoke with someone who could tell me nothing but....IT'S INCOMPATIBLE. Seriously? They're TV'S don't support 7.1 audio? I talked to Sony and they said it should work but LG say's otherwise...LG scheduled a local tech company to come out and look at the issue and see if they can "fix it". If I can;t get a resolution to this I will be returning this TV. As for the question below, would I recommend this to a friend? My answer is NO. My friends like things that work. So disappointed.

Better tv's for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this TV up this evening and was excited to see its capabilities. Refresh rate is only 60hz not the advertised 120hz. Picture is decent but nothing dazzling ,my 3 year old 1080p 55" Samsung outperforms this TV. The blacks are more gray and colors are not as clear as you would expect from a 4k set. Unfortunately I will be returning to BB and getting another Samsung. Overall a good budget friendly monitor.

Definitely a BUDGET TV in the 65" class.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The price of this TV caught my eye very quickly. At first, I thought it was possible Best Buy had incorrectly priced this model. I couldn't find any other make/model in the 65" class that compared with this TV's specs for the low price. From the time I first turned it on, I felt as if something was going on with the picture. I had read about the "soap opera effect" during my TV research, but didn't quite know what it was. I recognized it immediately when I started watching this set. It wasn't until I read some reviews that had been posted AFTER I bought this TV, specifically the review about the refresh rate, that it became clear to me (no pun). The "TruMotion" 120hz refresh rate seems to be the issue. As a previous poster mentioned, the refresh rate isn't truly 120hz, it's more like half of that. Today I exchanged it for the Samsung UN65JU6500. The difference was immediately noticeable. The Samsung was $400 more, but there is really no comparison. The Samsung was THAT much better. Money well spent, in my opinion. To be fair, I believe another good choice would've been the similarly priced LG 65UF6800, but I was done with LG at that point. Best Buy was great about the exchange.
