Good value... on sale
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this TV on sale for 799.99 but if i had paid near the original price of 1,299 or even the 1,199 or 999 its selling for now, i probably would have returned it. I thought i would get lucky and get one without back bleed but mine has that at the bottom corners and its also got vertical lines spaced about 4-5" apart that show up from top to bottom on a gray or mostly white picture. Motion makes it much more noticable. The IPS screen however has very natural and full colors and the 4k HDR is impressive. The upconverting usually is not bad at all either. Motion is not as good as a native 120hz samsung i have in my bedroom. But with adding some dejuddering from the tru motion menu I can get it looking acceptable. Sometimes my settings are not retained when i turn the TV on the next day. I find myself having to do this over and over for 4k HDR content. It will not save my color or brightness settings or my tru motion preferences. Very annoying! For the most part I like the menu options and the web OS 3.0 is great once updated. At the price I paid, its a serious value, but i would have looked for a comperable model from samsung with a real 120hz refresh and maybe even better brightness. The LG IPS Panel is more natural looking but i bet i can set a samsung up to look similar enough with a little bit of work.
