Customers commend the 65" Class OLED TV's picture quality, 3D capabilities, and deep black levels, with many praising the immersive viewing experience provided by the curved screen. While some users noted concerns about glare and motion issues in certain situations, the overall consensus highlights the superior image quality and ease of use. A few mentioned the higher price point as a drawback, but many felt it was justified by the TV's performance.

    Fantastic TV for 4K, 3D and Blu-Ray

I write this review from the perspective of owning a Panasonic Plasma TV, Panasonic 3DTV and loving both. With 3DTV's being phased out, I wanted to get this as it was considered THE BEST of the 3DTVs. Size: The 65" is huge but looks fantastic. This is an almost no-bezel TV set.. it's all glass. No bulky design or ugly speakers on the side, just a good looking TV on a small stand. The TV is incredibly thin on the edges but has a bulky box on the back that houses the important stuff. Doesn't bother me at all, but those wanting a completely thin TV all-around may not appreciate it. Newer TVs work around this by having a separate processing box that connects to the screen. I'm 100% satisfied with the current solution here. Inputs: Lots of inputs. HDMI, USB, I believe it even has Component, Composite, Optical (audio), Ethernet and a RS232C port. Inputs are on the left side opposed to awkwardly behind the TV, so they're all easy to reach. The TV support BOTH Dolby Vision and HDR10; it's good to have both in case one format comes out ahead. The set runs the webOS 3.0 operating system and is a smart TV. I found it to be fast, and it includes a "magic remote control" (meaning its motion sensitive and moves a cursor on the screen as you move the remote). I wasn't a big fan of it, but fortunately you can use the up, down, left, right buttons also. Lots of included apps like Hulu, Amazon, Netflix and more -- I believe these have HDR support built in, which is great. I haven't tried them since my setup is connected via wifi a good distance from the router. Audio is OK. They sell a higher end (OLED65E6P) that has a soundbar, but is the same screen. I don't like the built in speakers, but what TVs have good speakers? Buy a soundbar or receiver+speakers for the best experience. Curve or no curve? LG makes this in 2 models: 65b6p and 65c6p. Same price, same set.. Except the B is flat and the C is curved... but only the C/Curved set has 3D. I don't know why, but thats how they did it. The curve is very minimal and doesn't create any issues. I like it! The Curved set still has a vesa mount (400x200) 3D: Again, only the "C", "E" and "G" models have 3D, but its fantastic. It uses Passive 3D (the same glasses as the theaters). Coming from a very good Panasonic 3DTV (Active/Battery powered glasses) and trying lots of terrible 3DTVs, I didn't know what to expect. The 3D on the OLED was the best I've ever seen. People told me that but I didn't believe it. It's something that has to be seen. Black levels? Black. Blacker than Plasma. The Panasonic Plasma's were an amazing set but you still saw a little bit of light. With this, in a black scene the screen is totally black. No light bleed, just pure darkness. Great experience! Quality: 4K looks amazing. I use an Oppo 603 4K player and after buying several 4K discs, and trying some 3D and 2D 1080p Blu-Rays.. I couldn't believe how good it looked! The 4K looks amazing, but even the 1080p is fantastic.. something I wasn't expecting. I haven't tried DVD, but wouldn't expect much. Overall, an amazing set. I highly recommend it. The best TV I've ever owned, and I can be picky about these things.

    Once you go OLED!!

I tried one of the lower end LG models, two Samsungs (js6500 & ks9000), and the Sony x850D. I returned each of these within a couple days for problems ranging from Judder, to light bleeding that I could not deal with. So I decided to bite the bullet and get this baby. I love the blacks, color, motion, viewing angle, input lag, smart system, and even the sound! Its great for watching movies, Netflix and even for playing games. The input lag is good enough for games like Titanfall 2, and battlefield (and they could not look better). I could never go back to an LCD screen again!

Was hesitant to purchase the curved C6 model at first... but do not regret it one bit... It looks really elegant and no issues with viewing angles at all. Having the 3D capability was a factor as well which was not available on the B6... The 4K video is just breathtaking especially the blacks where the colors just pop out. Family and I are enjoying this TV very much and would definitely recommend this to those who demand quality and latest tech...

I watch a lot of TVs and movies so picture quality was my main priority. I had purchased a Samsung JU7500 the year before and don't get me wrong it has truly amazing picture quality and color. What always bothered me though was the black uniformity was lacking and it didn't offer HDR. This became bothersome when watching movies, especially in letterbox style. With the OLED this is a thing of the past. It has total black uniformity which makes watching movies an unbelievable experience. Standard TV when watching basic cable television really isn't much different until cable or satellite companies start filming in 4k. However, if you watch a lot of Bluray's like myself, this TV is well worth the price. The Passive 3D is also a lot easier on the eyes compared to the active 3D that came with the Samsung models.

This is by far the best purchase we have made. With our Xbox One S, we have incredible picture and quality on everything we watch or play. I have never been a fan of the curved screens, but this one is subtle enough that it seriously improves the viewing area while not being noticeably curved.

This was my dream TV and now that I got a hold of it at a decent discount, it does not disappoint. Literally everything you watch looks significantly better on this set. Remember that the flat version does not have 3d.

OLED65C6P is an exceptional tv and I have never seen such a great picture quality so far. There are lot of picture mode options to suit your needs, I like HDR mode. The remote synced up with all devices connected to TV. Setup was easily. One suggestion: When you set the screen make sure not to touch with your hand as the finger prints will stay on the screen. I hope there will be more 4K UHD content available in the near future so that I can utilize the tv to its full potential. Got the tv in Thanksgiving weekend.

    Worth the little extra cash

After nearly driving myself nuts over the past month trying to find the perfect new TV to buy myself I finally decided the "Go big or go home" approach and get the 2016 OLED and i couldn't be more happy with my decision. First off I will address that the OLED has a slight reputation for having "image retention" when there is a static image that displays on the screen for long period of time and I was concerned about this at first but after using my TV normally it really was a non issue for real life usage. You can see a small image retention (If you go stare at the screen from point blank) for a brief period of time but this should not be confused with "BURN IN". There is an option in the settings to clear panel noise which works great. Onto the speakers, the speakers are par at best, nothing to brag home about but my guess is if you're buying this TV you probably will have a sound system of some type and will probably never even use these. Now the fun part! The picture quality. Seeing this in store is one thing when you see there ever looping demo videos. But once you get this baby home and actually use it you will be blown away with the blacks. I know it sounds silly thinking about how good a black can look on a TV but not having to deal with any type of light bleeding on the sides or bottom or the clouding effect from LED makes the viewing experience that much better. The contrast levels can not be matched from any other TV at all. I came from the Samsung KS8500 and noticed a huge difference with the quality of the OLED. Gaming is also very good on this TV. I tested out Gears of War 4 and Call of Duty 4 remastered and both played extremely well and the level of detail with the blacks and overall experience felt very immersive. For a closing note this TV is fantastic and delivers a great picture for a premium price. If you can find this on sale like it was when i got it for $3000 don't think twice about it. BUY IT!!! Also don't read into to much of the tech in depth reviews making certain things sound like there are issues with image retention. Its not even an issue for the naked eye when viewing normally. This is easily the best picture on the market.

    No more LCD for me

Picked up the LG OLED65C6P last Sunday. I have been waiting ever since it was announced. The colors are insane. The tv is awesome. PROS: color, blacks, no more edge light spotlight I had with my Samsung LCD. Passive 3D glasses without batteries, love that. The best viewing angle is, every angle is the perfect viewing angle. Super thin curved is just beautiful. TV remote is cool. Its universal, but you cant program your own buttons. CONS: The TV is perfect, once you get it setup correctly. I keep seeing over processing, which drives me crazy. I tried setups on You Tube, but there dark and yellow and they all said turn off the motion. After some playing around I finally found the sweet spot for flawless picture motion. Best setting is judder to 4 and blur to 7. After I did that, the TV was perfect. My only other complaint is the VUDU app doesn't allow 4k. Whats up with that LG, an 4k tv app without 4k? Lucky for me I have a Roku4 attached to it and it allows UHD 4k VUDU.

    Great contrast and colors.

Colors and contrast in this tv are amazing, the only reason I gave this tv a 4 star is because of the judder problem, the geeksquad guys came to my house to correct the problem, also LG guys, but nothing, they told me that the tv is like that, for me that was a deal breaker, and I end returning the tv, I'm a very picky guy when is about picture quality, if it wasn't just because of that, this tv is out of this world, I exchange it for Sony Bravia xbr65x930d,and there's not much different between them, except for black and contrast, LG is a 10 on that, and Sony xbr65x930d is a 9, if you don't mind seeing this flickering judder on movies and regular tv channels, then get this tv, you won't regret it, for a tv Of this caliber and prize, it should be 100% perfect, if LG announces that this problem will be corrected via software or something like that, I will definitely go back to the store and get it again.

The only con for this magnificent television is the price. But if you can afford it, it's well worth the price. There's not much I can type to convince you to purchase this OLED, you must see it in person if you are on the fence on buying it. Trust me and the other hundreds of reviews that have nothing but praise for this LG.

Recently upgraded from samsung plasma. Tried the Sony xbr65x930d because of the price difference. I thought "how much better can the OLED really be?" Well, I am here to tell you it's night and day! The picture quality is so much better on the OLED. Do yourself a favor and get this TV over anything out there. You won't be dissapointed. Once I got it dialed in to my liking it's the best TV that I have ever watched period.. End of story!

Great color but not good TV for fast motion

I bought this TV because of the deals being offered. I had been watching it for awhile. I asked the sales associate about the different TVs and was told they are all the same between the C6, B6, E6. The only difference was one was curved, one did not have special speaker, and one had a better speaker. After watching the 2016 RIO olympics and all that fast motion I was really disappointed in my several thousand dollar purchase. During the swimming with the shimmering water the TV REALLY struggles and made everything "boxy" without a sharp picture. I went to the store (different store) and did more research online. The sales associate said the models were NOT all equal and the E6 and the new G6 were better. I decided to spend the extra money and get the E6 while returning the C6. The picture is a little better (more contrast and colors). I also noticed that the motion blurring i was seeing (on the C6) was not nearly as bad as on the C6. I calibrated both TVs so I am comparing equals. I am much happier so far with the E6. I would have gone with the G6 but the price jump was just too much more money. If you are going to spend this kind of money go with the higher end E6 or G6. You won't be disappointed you did. If you don't trust me just find some fast motion like the Olympic mens 100 M sprint and check it out and compare them....all blur and horrible picture (and yes I did try all different trumotion settings)! Don't get me wrong, the still pictures like the news anchors sitting at a desk or other non moving pictures are fantastic but watching sports sucked. The football being thrown had boxes around it and following it. Very annoying!

I really do think that most of the negative reviews I read are made up and totally fake. This 4K TV is the BEST on the market right now. I picked it up last week and this baby has not disappointed. If you want the best, pick this up as soon as you can. You can't go wrong with either size.
