We bought an LG OLED TV in 2016 when they first came out and had it for 8yrs and loved it. It finally started having issues recently so we replaced it with it's predecessor. After one week of making several fine tunes and adjustments to it we decided because of Best Buy's generous return policy to try a different tv. And we did, and we love our new Sony Bravia 8.

I’ve had this tv for only 3 months now, started out great! It’s very thin and lightweight for its size.
However, about a month ago I start experiencing issues with both the picture and smart capabilities. The built-in chromecast hasn’t been functioning for about a week now, and even before that was hit-or-miss. Same with simply streaming Netflix or Hulu, etc. the picture just stops responding while sound continues. I have 2 other tvs in my home that I have to switch to to watch what I want to watch, so it’s not the streaming service having issues (both other tvs are Samsung and a fraction of the price of this one).
Very disappointed for a $2k tv and will not be purchasing an LG again!!

Hi, Suzanne. Thank you for sharing your experience with the LG TV (OLED65C4PUA) model. We understand your concern about encountering issues with the picture and smart capabilities, especially after enjoying the TV for a couple of months. We strive to provide high-quality products and ensure a smooth and seamless viewing experience. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try: Unplug the TV for about 5 minutes, then plug it back in. This can help reset the TV and clear any software glitches that may be affecting the picture or smart features. Go to the settings menu and make sure the TV is running the latest software version. LG regularly releases updates that can fix bugs and improve performance. If the issue persists, you may want to perform a factory reset on the TV. This will restore all settings to default, potentially clearing up any lingering software issues. Be sure to back up any personal settings before doing this. This LG 65-Inch TV had good reviews with an anticipated excellent display. However ater I brought it home, unboxed it and mounted it on the wall above my fireplace and powered it on, the screen displayed a vertical color line on the left part of the screen and then went blank. I returned it to the store for an exchange with a different brand. Very disappointed but maybe because it was a 2024 model.

Horrible TV. Constantly locks up, where no streaming apps or local SSD will play. I had high hopes for my first OLED TV. Definitely look elsewhere than LG for OLED TV's. My wife mainly watches this TV. She is not a tech wiz and it's unreasonable to expect her to reset TV, routers and unplug and plug in TV several times a week. We need a refund from Best Buy or LG. End of story.

After days of waiting for delivery, the tv came broken and it along with the box looked like it had been a return. I paid for a brand new OLED not an open box one and they didn't even put the instructions manual back inside. It took hours to set up only to realize it wouldn't even turn on, just a white line appeared in the screen. I had to call customer service and said a different OLED same price just different brand was not in stock and 2/3 times we called they told my bf I had to be on the line even though I was at work so they refused to help him. We ended up just getting a refund and will be looking elsewhere for an OLED.

Hi, Ashley. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on your LG TV (OLED65C4PUA) model. We appreciate your feedback and understand how important it is to receive a brand-new OLED TV in perfect condition, especially after the anticipation of delivery. This unit is designed to deliver stunning picture quality and performance, and it’s unfortunate that your setup was impacted by the condition of the unit and packaging. If a white line appears on the screen and the TV won’t power on properly, this typically indicates panel damage or a hardware fault that requires technician support. Beautiful picture. But when I bought it I was told it was compatible with my Klipsch 200 core sound system for theater sound (AtMos). Sorry after a month of trying to get help from Klipsch, LG and Best Buy I am giving up. When a Best Buy salesman tells you 'no problem', you'd better get it in writing.
The sound is great on it own, but not as advertised (atmos), If you are not a gamer, you are probably wasting your money.

Hi there, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your situation, and we truly appreciate your feedback regarding your LG OLED65C4PUA.
While the LG C4 OLED TV does support Dolby Atmos and offers advanced sound features, compatibility with external sound systems, like your Klipsch 200 Core, may depend on the specific setup and connection method. We recommend the following troubleshooting steps to enhance your experience:
Verify HDMI eARC Connection: Ensure your sound system is connected via the HDMI eARC port on your TV. Go to Settings > Sound > Sound Out, and select HDMI (eARC). Enable Pass-Through Audio: In the Sound Settings, set Digital Sound Output to Pass Through to allow uncompressed audio formats like Dolby Atmos to pass to your sound system. Firmware Updates: Ensure both your TV and sound system have the latest firmware updates, as this can improve compatibility. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-65-class-c4-series-oled-evo-4k-uhd-smart-webos-tv-2024/6578042.p?skuId=6578042 If the issue persists, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport. Privacy is non existent in the LG ecosystem. I cannot recommend this set even though the picture is fantastic. LG blocks ALL of it's smart features behind agreements that strip you of all privacy. They will monitor and keep record of EVERYTHING YOU WATCH. Want to play a video game? That's not safe from their content recognition software. Want to watch something on Netflix they'll have a record of that.
The picture is fantastic too bad it stops there

Beautiful TV however the focus goes in and out. Our old TV never did that and we've not switch internet or wifi since getting this set so something must be wrong internally. I've notified Best Buy of the issue. Hopefully we can get it fixed or swapped out and then I can write a better review.

Bad Open Box Experience

This review is based on my experience with Best Buy. I purchased an open-box "Good" condition TV that turned out to have severe screen burn-in, despite having very few operating hours. Best Buy claimed it wasn’t a display model, but it clearly was. It also arrived without a remote, which was never disclosed. While the TV itself was otherwise excellent, I had to return it due to the burn-in—which was excessive, even considering the discounted price.
