Oled tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pictures quality is okay, nothing special to write home about. Very cheap remote , can't add numbers to the tv. Very cheap remote. Makes you wonder about the rest of the tv.is built like the remote. Every time you turn the tv on it goes to the screen setup mode and have to punch in what you want to watch, which i don't like. Seems like it it way over priced for the tv.

Posted .Hi, James. Thank you for sharing your experience with the LG TV (OLED65C5PUA) model.
We understand how important it is for your TV to deliver strong picture quality and an easy everyday setup. We want to ensure your television feels high-quality, easy to navigate, and well worth your investment. To personalize navigation and stop the TV from launching the full setup home menu at startup, please adjust these simple settings: (1) Change Power-On Home Behavior: To start the TV on your last HDMI input, cable box, or streaming device instead of the webOS home screen, go to Settings (Gear Icon) > All Settings > General > System > Additional Settings > Home Settings and disable Home Auto Launch. (2) Use the Quick Access Number Pad: The Magic Remote lets you map frequently used apps or channels to number keys. Open your desired app or input, then press and hold the 0 key or any number from 1 to 8 to create a shortcut. (3) Optimize Picture Mode for OLED Performance: If picture quality is standard, the TV may be in energy-saving mode. Press the settings button, go to Picture Mode, and select Cinema, Filmmaker Mode, or APS (Auto Power Save) Off to improve OLED display colors and contrast. seems like Best Buy can’t even match up remotes
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tv is great but Best Buy makes my consumer experience difficult once again. things can never be smooth with Best Buy. Being a long term customer I bought an iPhone 17 pro a few months ago and had to go to the store about 5 times in one week before my phone worked(whole different issue.) Now I bought a 1300 tv, that I’ve wanted forever, I got the excellent open box to make sure I got everything that’s supposed to be with it. Instead DIDNT HAVE THE SCREWS FOR THE STAND AND HAD A TOSHIBA TV REMOTE. BE BETTER GUYS. Since the remote uses infrared I had to go buy another remote, and find some screws to make the stand work. Shouldn’t have to after spending 1300 dollars. Lg c5 rocks tho.

Posted .Hi, Tyler. Thank you for reaching out, and we understand the importance of having your LG TV (OLED65C5PUA) model arrive with everything you expected. A universal or infrared remote can manage basic power and volume, but the LG Magic Remote is crucial for the "point-and-click" cursor, voice commands, and calibration via its built-in microphone. Without it, you might not fully experience webOS 25. The C5 is a thin, sophisticated panel. If the screws you found aren't an exact fit, there is a risk of the TV leaning or becoming unstable over time. If you haven't already, we recommend contacting Best Buy customer service at 888-237-8289 for potential solutions. We’d like to assist further.

Nice TV But Won't Turn On One Month After Purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV one month ago and it was working nicely. Unfortunately, an internal issue with one or more components caused the TV to shut down automatically and go into "stand-by" mode. It's no longer possible to turn the TV on (it automatically shuts off / goes into stand-by mode). Where I purchased the TV just one month ago, it falls under a limited warranty and so I'm hoping the issue(s) can be repaired or resolved but the LG support team has proven to be very difficult to work with. It seems like once the money has been paid to Best Buy/LG, no one seems to care any more, warranty or not. It's possible that this was just a one-off issue with the unit I was unlucky enough to purchase from Best Buy (in-person), but it's disappointing that a new, high-priced TV would stop working just one month after it was purchased and now I have to miss playoff basketball and hockey games. Do yourself a favor a buy a TV from another manufacturer who might actually care about their customers.

Posted .Hi, Randy. Thank you for reaching out and sharing what’s been happening with your LG TV (OLED65C5PUA) model. We understand the importance of having a reliable television that provides uninterrupted viewing of your favorite sports, especially during playoff season. To fix the TV's automatic stand-by mode, (1) power cycle it by unplugging it for 60 seconds. (2) Ensure the power cord is securely connected at the back and avoid using a surge protector or power strip. (3) After 60 seconds, plug it directly into a grounded outlet and turn it on using the TV's button, not the remote. Horrible customer service from LG.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased a LG 65" C5 from Best Buy in June. I declined the supplimental insurance offered by Best Buy. Why would we need it on a brand new TV, right. Well within 3 months the TV had a black vertical line on the screen. Then the TV would just go to a black screen. We cant even watcha show for 30 minutes without it shutting off on us. We knew it was out of BB 30 day policy, so we called the manufacturer. They sent a tech out within a couple days. He said its a fairly common issue, but was going to have to order in parts because they do not have in stock. They dont have parts in stck for a common repair? Well, we are on week 3 still with no parts. The tech said he would submit a Return authorization, but now LG customer service is claiming a 30 day period to fix and if we want a RA it will take an additional 15-17 days. I am seriously through the roof. We bought in time for the football season. Guess what were not watching. Shame on me for not buying the warranty, but ill never buy another LG product again.

Posted .Hi, Tim. Thank you for sharing your experience with the LG TV (OLED65C5PUA) model. We understand how important it is for your TV to deliver uninterrupted performance, especially during football season.
If your screen is showing a black vertical line and shutting off intermittently, one helpful step is to disconnect all external devices, then perform a Picture Test by going to Settings > All Settings > Support > OLED Care > Device Self Care > Picture Test. This can help determine if the issue is panel-related or caused by a connected device. Also, ensure your TV’s firmware is up to date by checking Settings > All Settings > Support > Software Update. ||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had two of these TVs and they have great picture if the streaming actually works. I have to unplug my TV at least 4 times a week to resolve streaming issues this TV says it has when no other device has issues. 4 other TVs in the house, along with multiple streaming devices using internet bandwidth, and the most expensive TV is the least reliable and most inconvenient to maintain (especially mounted as a frame on the wall). Do better LG.

Posted .Hi, Tom. Thank you for taking the time to share what’s been happening with your LG TV (OLED65C5PUA) model. We understand the importance of having a TV that streams reliably.
When streaming apps report issues while other devices work normally, one helpful step is to reset the Home Dashboard network connection by going to Settings → Network → Wi‑Fi (or Wired) → Advanced Settings → Edit and re‑entering your network details. This refreshes the TV’s connection without needing to unplug it. It can also help to clear the app cache by selecting the streaming app, pressing and holding the OK button, and choosing the option to restart the app fully. For more guidance, visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-tv-troubleshooting-your-tvs-internet-connection--1426626051711 and https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-OLED65C5PUA.
