Love it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve only had the tv for a week, but so far I absolutely love it. The picture is awesome and I’m so glad I picked the 65 inch over the 55. I doubt we’ll be going to the movies much anymore because the picture is better than what we usually see at a theater. Highly recommend this set for anyone looking for a great picture.

Beautiful picture.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great tv, especially if you have 4k content to take advantage of the tv's features. There are a good amount of videos online to give you recommended video settings to view specific content. I'd highly recommend you give those a look as it does make a difference in your picture quality, depending on what you're watching.

Best TV on the Planet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Phenomenal colors and state of the art technology is what separates this TV from all the others out there. I had a 55” and purchased a new home. That Oled didn’t fit the new house. I was so impressed with the quality of the tv that I upgraded to a 65” and couldn’t be any happier. Remember when you are considering price. That you only live once. Might as well watch it on the best tv while here on earth.

Sensatioal TV great purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the geek squad deliver and set up the LG OLED 65C8. The picture quality exceeds my expectations. The location of our TV is in a bright sun lit room during the day so had to adjust some of the settings. The screen is highly reflective so if you have windows opposing the screen expect to close your blinds or curtains after all you are watching a TV not looking out the windows behind you.

TV ahead of it's time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have over seven tv's in my home and this tv by far had the best picture of any device I have ever owned. After keeping it a week, I returned it not because of performance, style or quality but only because of the limited day to day material that I was able to watch to enjoy all of the best features of this tv. I will revisit OLED in the future but only after there is a better selection of content.

Disappointing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent a lot of time researching before selecting this TV (but should have done even more). Best Buy staff were exceptionally helpful. In the end it came down to a choice between the Sony A8 and the LG C8. Price was the deciding factor in selecting the LG C8. I have been using the TV for about a month now. Good things about the TV: Excellent picture using UHD Blue Ray or UHD streaming from Netflix. Some HD programing like pay per view also had very good image quality. Most standard HD was so - so. Not so good things: Instructions for setting the TV up were not clear enough to give me a confident feeling during set up - but it worked with no damage. Note, some of the YouTube videos of how to set up this TV are wrong. The picture is dimmer than non-OLED TVs, but still works for most programming. I end up switching the picture settings frequently when I change between TV shows, jpg photos, streaming movies, and Blue Ray discs. Disappointing aspects of this TV: The remote is a pain, not sure why it gets high marks from others - the pointer is clumsy, buttons are not well located, and there are limited functions on the remote. The TV does not work well with my Spectrum cable box remote - it was impossible to set up the TV and Cable to both turn on and off with the Spectrum remote even with Spectrum sending out a technician. So, I really need to use three remotes most of the time - the TV remote, cable remote, and Blue Ray player remote. I like to use a TV to view my photographs and expected a 4K OLED to be awesome for this. So, I was surprised that this TV has problems reading jpeg images if they are greater that 1920 x 1440. In fact, about 1 in 7 of my jpegs that exceeded this limit could not be read by the TV. My ten-year old 1080 Samsung TV can read these same files just fine. I don't understand why a 4K TV can only read 2K or less jpeg images. Finally, LG support is available late at night via a chat feature, but could not help with this issue. Overall, I am disappointed in this TV and should have probably waited for the Sony to go on sale.

Great TV, Remote is a Pain
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has the best picture I have ever seen. Even in strong light the picture is startingly clear. The “smart remote”is a different story. It works some of the time and has to be reset regularly. For instance, this morning there was no sound on any channel. I tried everything the online manual suggested to no avail. Out of desperation I tried the xfinity remote instead and, voila, the sound returned. LG needs to fix this problem.

Buy it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best tv owned, best picture...however, to maintain the great performance you do have to baby sit the tv...do not leave it on unattended or you risk screen burn of your picture freezes due to streaming etc....also do not watch the same channel or play the same games with static images on screen like channel logo's for hrs on end..change channels...not the best tv for kids to control

Amazing Picture but....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first real splurge for a high end TV love the picture, But it has some serious picture jerkiness on tv shows. The simple motion of a person walking across the room is jerky and gives me a headache. I have tried changing the settings and it doesn't improve. Aside of the Jerkiness it has a never seen before breathtaking picture.

Posted .Hi Ogdlow, I am happy to hear you love the picture! As far as the jerkiness of the picture, try power cycling the television. You do this by unplugging the unit, then hold the power button on the unit for 60 seconds. Then plug it back in. After this, check for firmware updates. If this does not work, please reach out to us via phone at 1-800-243-0000 or online on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/LGUSSupport or Twitter @LGUSSupport so I can assist you further. ^EJ

Best TV I've ever owned
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After one month, I'm still mesmerized. Dolby Vision from Netflix/Vudu is absolutely amazing. Regular over the air TV is way better than on my old LG tv. Even Sling and Starz looks great. My AV receiver indicates Dolby Atmos when Netflix plays sound in this format and wow! For the record, I did get it at a significant discount as an open box item but so far so good.
