However, the "magic" remote isn't perfect for operating a Tivo DVR. I still use my Harmony Universal remote for the entire system. I was a little disappointed in the sound quality. One reason I chose the high end model was for the sound. My soundbar still has a place in my system. I haven't tried too many apps but Youtube works well. I installed Pureflix but the stream kept hanging and had to be restarted several times. All in all, I am happy with this purchase.

BEWARE NO DTS AUDIO

I went and looked at the display models and decided the LG G1 65" was the perfect fit to replace my 2 year old LG C9 that was destroyed by a lightning strike / surge. The same quality OLED experience as before but brighter and better! Not to mention the wall mount system it comes with looks very cool! I took it home the same day, spent several hours getting everything setup including rewiring my 5.1.2 sound system. Put in a 4K Bluray only to find out this 2 thousand dollar TV doesn't support DTS audio. Lol. My 500+ Bluray and 4k collection is easily half DTS! What an absolute shame LG, my C9 from 2019 supported DTS! I painstakingly removed everything and returned the TV the next day. I will reconsider ever buying an LG product again after this experience.

I needed a pro install due to wall mounting and hidden cable needs, but the end look is stunning when the unit is on. Settings are fairly easy to configure (not too many), and the only minor gripe is that the audio could have been more robust.

The LG SMART TV part needs work and we will not be getting rid of the apple TV hardware just yet. As for the Geek Squad they really need to figure out why I need to talk to someone in the Philippines to schedule two appointments for installation - very aggravating.

LG has most popular apps that are download able. The nextgen tv allows us to see a tv guide on antennae Channels which is a plus. No cable or satellite needed.

However I must say that I am happy with the purchase. The daytime viewing is not an issue and the sleek finish of G1 makes it look amazing.

The last one got screen burn due to the Xbox. This one here actually cleans it’s on pixels pretty awesome. It’s been about a year and a half no troubles at all.
