Ok
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn't find the difference between LG's cheaper 4K UHD TV and this model in terms of resolution however, it's double the price you pay. I would either recommend to go for the cheaper model or the expensive OLED but not Super UHD. It's not worth the money you spend.

Not as good as expected.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tv struggles to upgrade to 4k. If it is a standard picture it looks horrible, It halos as well. Like the software it is very good. I gave it too much of a chance, and if I could I would take it back.

Returned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Initial impression was excellent. Picture was excellent. Set up was easy. Stand was unstable for an expensive and big TV. It was shaky. Then not even 3 weeks into it, the TV went dark! No picture, only sound. Called LG, was walked through by customer service on resetting, power off etc. No help. LG offered to come and service but decided to return TV to Bestbuy and got samsung instead. Had another samsung for years with no issues. No problems from Bestbuy with the exchange.

Great overall, amazing picture
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is perfect for my needs. It might not be perfect for everyone but it is overall well rounded and has amazing specs/performance. Unboxing is simple. Open the top, take out the extras, lift the main part of the box off the bottom and the TV will be standing there in the bottom part of cardboard nicely padded with Styrofoam. The TV is heavier than I expected (granted it is 65”) but with the trend of TV’s being thinner and lighter I assumed it might be a little less heavy. A single person can lift it but I do recommend a two person carry to protect your back and the TV. Set up is a breeze, take out the stand, attach the other part of the stand to it and screw it into the TV. Initial TV power on walks you through the setup of channels and wifi. If you have used smart TV’s before you might be used to slow interfaces, this one uses WebOS with Android Assistant built in and I gotta say, it is so smooth of an interface you will be wowed. The gyro inside the controller allows you to point to specific parts of the screen to interact. I thought this would be more cumbersome then clicking left and right but it actually is quicker once you get the hang of it. It is equipped with Dolby Vision, I have used HDR tvs using HDR10 before but once you compare it to a Dolby Vision device… the first words are WOW. The colors pop so much more on supported content, and the brights will amazing you. I hooked it up to my Xbox One X and watched a few 4K Blu-rays, they looked amazing and I realized I had been missing out this whole time on many details. On the standard settings, you do not get much of the soap opera affect (smoothing) so kudos to LG for making that a non-issue. The TV supports Dolby Atmos which does not give you much benefit on the TV speakers or a plain old 5.1 system but it is nice to have support built in. Android Assistant felt half baked to me, it works but often times I would have to ask it a question multiple times. This did not seem like an issue with the microphone or volume but more with how it seems to hang for a second to thing then nothing happens. I feel this could be fixed in a future update but it was a slight issue for me upon review. There is a large catalog of apps you can download from the store and I do not think there was one I could not find that I looked for, all the major music and movie apps were there. If you decide to hang this on a wall it will work but just be sure you have a very good wall mount installation. As mentioned earlier, the TV is on the heavier side and if your mount is not properly anchored it might create issues. One thing I would like to see on this TV is a satellite input device. Some brands have it so a single connection goes to the TV and all the inputs for your other devices feed into a box at the other end of the cable, this is very convenient for a wall mount. This LG TV only takes inputs in the back of the TV so you will have to manage your cables wisely unless you have a receiver taking all your inputs. I give it a 5 out of 5 for quality, interface and performance. I give it a 3 out of 5 for design and engineering. Overall, this works out to a solid 4 out of 5 for me!

Horrible blooming due to “Full-Array Dimming”
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went into this purchase thinking this is the best/top LED purchase. I was wrong. I opted out of OLED because of the burn in, I have kids in the house who would leave the tv on and forget about it so I opted for this tv, the one before OLED. I regret this purchase, wish I went with Samsung QLED instead. Horrible blooming due to the claimed “Full-Array Dimming” which just makes everything worse and is especially noticeable in dark scenes. It’s just so bad and because of this makes this tv horrible. The full-array dimming is too slow and too large. Nothing like you see in the demos, the demos make it seem perfect, but once you set it up it sucks. Stay away. Only reason I didn’t return it was because I had already set it up and just figured I’d put it in the kids room at some point and get another tv for the living room.

Decent TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Told this TV was good for sports but when the football is thrown in the air it looks like the ball disappears and you can only see a silhouette of the ball, very annoying. Besides that its a nice TV.

Posted .You can change the picture mode that is best suited to your viewing environment, preferences or video type. Included in the list of available options is a sports mode which sharpens the image of rapid movements such as kicking or throwing a ball. Never again
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Within 3 months the top bank of HDMI ports stopped working. Not a big deal, I had two more, problem solved. 17 months in and the TV no longer show video input from cable box. Picture turns on intermittently if you turn TV on and off and it wont go to home screen or allow me to use apps such as Netflix. When you turn TV on the LG screen appears and then blank screen and you can't get it to do anything. I have two Sonys that are both 10 years old and no issues. No more LGs for me.

Very good but could be better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is amazing! I love everything about it except the back lighting. I purchased this TV because I really wanted local dimming and I love LG TV's. When this option is turned to low, it's not that bad but it has terrible lag and the local dimming zones are way too big. If you are watching a very bright and colorful movie or show, this TV is about as perfect as you can get. The motion is amazing. Cartoons look insanely amazing. The only down fall is when you want to watch any movie with dark scenes... then it is annoying and unbearable... for me. My wife never noticed but her eye sight isnt the best either. I ended up returning this TV and purchased a 65" LG C8 OLED. The only thing the SK9000 has on the C8 is the motion handling and lower latency for video games. OMGoodness is it better with the SK9000. If you play a lot of video games and are not a huge movie buff, then the SK9000 will make you very very happy.
