Customers are saying

Many users are pleased with the easy setup process and the excellent sound quality. One Possible Issue, otherwise no complaint

Good TV for the price. Here's my one potential issue. Several months after buying the TV, I started getting a momentary (literally about 1 second long) "white flash" on the screen when I first turn it on during the day. The entire screen is white (no picture, just pure white) for a moment and then everything is normal. This only happens the first time I turn the TV on during the day. If I turn the tv on additional times during the day and evening, there is no white flash. I've searched the internet and have been unable to find anyone else describe this issue with this particular tv. Perhaps it's harmless, but i'm wary of where it goes from here. There was an OLED LG tv which had a similar issue a few years ago and it apparently was resolved with a firmware update.

Very good deal for the price. Only thing that bothered me is the remote feel. Overall good buy and good quality.

This tv is very low price and out of the box the picture quality was not good. After playing with the settings for awhile, the picture quality is now delightful. Don't judge too quickly.

    Poor Picture Quality

This TV has only one problem, but it's critical - the picture is extremely dark, even compared to similar LG models just of a smaller size. After buying this TV I bought another of the same model but with a 50" screen, and the latter has a much better/brighter picture. Perhaps LG has fixed this problem in its newer models, but I definitely do NOT recommend this particular size of this model.

    Alright tv for the money

Picture is great in most aspects, blacks are a little weak but that was expected. Only problem I have is a section of the tv is letting light through where it shouldn't. Only effects a dark screen. Will up review if/when the problem is solved.

    does not connect to WiFi

I hooked up the T.V about a month ago. Picture was great as well as sound. Went to connect to Wifi so I can use apps such as Netflix and Hulu. When I went to the network setting for Wifi it did not list any Wifi networks. Restarted the T.V, googled the issue and apparently this is a HUGE problem with this T.V. I tried all the troubleshoots and nothing worked. Called LG and ALL they did was refer me to some repair man in my area. Sorry, I paid a lot of money for this T.V and you refer me to a 3rd party repair man?? called the repair man and he was upset cause LG always does this and they do not have time so that was a whole different story. Long story short, here I am 2 months after trying to fix this problem and its still an Issue. All LG does is refer me to a repair man, I never write reviews for products I buy but I have to warn people about this. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE HAVE. DO NOT BUY. GO WITH SAMSUNG.

Known issue with faulty hdmi ports

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

My wife bought me the 65uk6090pua for Christmas. She is a server at a restaurant so works hard for her money. I spent about 3 hours taking this out of the box and carefully installing it on the wall as a project with my 15 year old son. Turned it on and no cable tv!?!? Swapped over to another hdmi port and it worked. So I have a brand new tv wall mounted with a blown hdmi port straight out of the box. The disturbing thing in reading reviews across the Internet is THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE. LG are aware of it and have responded to reviews about this. I guess that explains the price. LG should take care of this as I don’t have time to spend a day unmounting the TV, return it and gamble with another one which may have the same issue. Great price and picture in a faulty product. Take your chances I guess!?!?

I have had this tv for only 3 days, worked great last night and then this morning I get a no signal message on hdmi 1. I switched hdmi cables and still nothing but port 2 works though, I looked on the lg site and it seems to be a common issue with these TVs with a major in home repair in my future. Beautiful tv when it is working...Returning ASAP and buying a different brand!!!

I purchased this tv to replace a very heavy and thicker VIZIO TV of a similar size, and the Vizio had a much better picture quality than this one. 5 years later and the picture quality has darkened over time... was hoping it would be as good as past LG TVs. the 32 in was fine, as it is a smaller screen and detail isn't as big of an issue

The tv does not connect with the internet. So you are not able to use the app functions. I have to use the play station or xbox to be able to watch Netflix ect. I took the tv to my sisters house to see if it was my internet or the tv, and it still wouldn’t connect. We have 3 LG televisions in my home and they are all the same. I am deeply disappointed. I’ll never purchase a LG tv again.

This a television is horrible do not buy it. The picture is terrible, it completely lost internet capabilities after four years and is almost fully dead at five years old. If you don’t want to send to a landfill within five years of buying it, STAY AWAY FROM THIS TERRIBLY MADE PRODUCT. Lost all respect for LG as a brand because it’s so bad.

This was our 3rd LG TV. We had great success before so assumed that our research would be quick and easy. Lesson learned. We bought it as a Christmas gift. Thankfully we opened it and Installed it now. After a few hours the 1st HDMI port stopped working. Thankfully Best Buy was amazing and let us exchange it for a Samsung.

WILL NOT STAY CONNECTED TO WIFI

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I've had this tv for seven months now, and keeping it connected to wifi is a consistent issue. It'll just disconnect out of the blue for no reason, and it'll take FOREVER to get it reconnected, and you never know why it disconnected in the first place. Sometimes you can just go to the settings menu and put in the password again, and that'll fix it. Sometimes you have to do a factory reset, which is a pain in the rear, because then you have to update and log back into all the apps. Sometimes you'll have to unplug it. There was an update a couple months ago that fixed it for a little while (but the update took away Hulu), but now its right back to being crap. All my other devices are connected to my wifi with no issues(other brand tvs, laptops, xbox one, phones). This is the dumbest smart tv I've ever seen, and I will never buy this brand again. It's worth it to spend a few hundred more dollars than to have to deal with this tv and it's issues.

    Does not connect to WiFi

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

After 1 year the tv disconnected from WiFi at least once a day After 2 years the tv needs to be connected to the WiFi every time it turns on After 3 years the tv does not want to connect to the WiFi. I went online and found a forum that said there is a known error where you have to put in the wrong password and then the right password for it to work. Now I have to do this every single time I turn on the TV. Connect to WiFi, wrong password, right password, and now I can watch tv After 4 years the tv is no longer smart. I have connected a fire tv stick because the tv doesn’t connect to WiFi no matter what I do. I can no longer mirror the screen from my phone. The tv always tries to use Netflix when I turn it on so I have to change input to HDMI every time I turn it on. These things are not made to last. Screen is intact and tv has never been bumped, was mounted on the wall all four years.

LG defect causes TV to turn blue with no fix

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The good - Apps for the smart tv are easy to use and the packaging was sufficient to keep the TV in good condition upon unboxing. The bad - The TV started slowly turning blue after only 2.5 years. We could adjust it for a while but now, only 3 years after purchase, our screen is almost all blue and not adjustable. There is also an issue with the speaker connection that randomly causes the sound to muffle in the middle of a show/movie. We thought it was our soundbar and after purchasing a new one, discovered the problem was the TV itself. It's upsetting that there is no fix and I am forced to generate waste on a purchase I would normally have kept for much longer.
