I bought this tv open box and it was great. A few months in I started noticing a vertical line on the screen. Didn’t always show up only on very bright or very dark pictures. I called lg (still within the warranty) and told them it had the line. They had me send them pictures to make sure it wasn’t something that I did. After reviewing the pictures they said it was a bad screen. So they came and fixed it for free. About 2 months go by (warranty had ended a few days before) I noticed again the same vertical line appearing on the screen again. I called lg and they said they can no longer fix this. They gave me a number for a third party repair shop. But prices were extremely high. That’s all the help lg provided. Probably will not buy another lg tv. Also lg App Store does not have many apps. So if you like espn plus discovery plus paramount plus or anything your kids want to watch don’t get this tv. Get Samsung or Sony.

The edge backlight just does not compare to a full array dimming solution. Opt for the 9 series or a different tv at this price point. Also, does not have eArc, but the 9 series does. (essential if you want to go device > tv > arc to soundbar with Atmos enabled so you don't have the awful audio lag.) Also, LG, PLEASE get rid of that awful stand core. It is so flimsy, it wobbles horribly if you give it the slightest touch.
