Honest review. ( Just okay tv)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this tv and wasn't happy with it. I'm giving an honest review to help you with your decision. Yes it has HDMI 2.1 and Dolby sound and vision. Speakers are great on this tv. Picture is just blah. On the 4k stuff it has a nice pic. But on older stuff the 4k upscaling is horrible. Worst then most lower cost 4k tvs. This tv has bad ghosting and motion blur isnt that great I know it's 120hz but it blurs alot. Its an okay tv but not worth the price. But if u want HDMI 2.1 with 120hz and want to be updated get it. But I did return it and got a Samsung Q70t Qled night and day comparison. I promise. For $100 more I would get the Samsung over the Nano 9 and that's coming from a die hard lg user. Hopefully this helps.

Best LG Nano 9
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best TV i have experienced so far in my life. This is very user friendly. The TV is very sharp and clear. The remote is very easy to understand and is not confusing like other remotes. The tv is very easy to move around even though there its not a swivel. The sharpness of tv was clear when kids were playing games and its HUGE. This is the perfect size for a TV 65'' especially with a family with young adults.

Overall great television
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very pleased with this TV, sound is great! Picture has no real weakness other than blacks aren't as pure as OLED. Colors are very natural and not as over saturated as some of the other Q televisions. Remote is great user interface is very intuitive and non-intrusive. Highly recommend this product. I'm glad after seeing this in my house I didn't get any quantum dot television as the color of this is very good and lifelike.

Bad Picture TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are lot of positive and fewer negative reviews about 65SM9000 (Nano Cell 9)TV. After weeks of research I took a gamble and bought this mid-range TV online with in-store pickup option from only store that had tv in stock. This was to avoid a possible shipping damage and mostly to avoid sales staff pressure to buy extra stuff for TV. Unfortunately, later I found out I made a huge mistake by buying from store that had no return policy on TVs of 50”+, otherwise would defiantly return it. The TV appearance is nice with no bazel look, no brand logo anywhere on front of TV unless stand is used. Without getting technical, tv’s picture detail will not look good as it does in the store using demo mode. With optimal input and bright conditions, the tv can show beautiful colors and near perfect clear background, but 90% of the time of use it is not the case. Since I’m stuck with this tv, I made lot of effort to make the picture satisfactory watching HD cable and other HD streaming apps. In dark room, back-lit and brightness setting end up at 50 to keep clouding/haze picture at minimal as possible. While using prime streaming tv app to watch HDR video, the local dimming must be off in order stop the ghosting/bleeding especially darker scenes. The trade off to that will result gray blacks and poor picture quality similar to very cheap tv. Netflix and YouTube HDR video is little better, but it seems 1080i signal upconverted from cable box looks the best of all. SDR up converting is not good with any settings. IPS panels are supposedly be better for wider viewing angles. Well on this tv as soon as you move about more then 10 degrees, clouding starts to appear on the screen. In some areas does worse then others, depending on the angle. The sound on this tv is ok coming from down fired speakers, sound settings also offer additional sound options like Ai aid feature or surround sound effect. Connecting and controlling Samsung external sound bar is a breeze but it loses the connection using optical cable each time tv’s powered off/on. Other external devices like cable box, Blu-ray payer and PC connect and work without any issues. Screen mirroring using built-in Airplay and Google Chromecast works without any issues either. Bluetooth connection using Bluetooth 5.0 headset pairs/works good and connects to tv each time is powered on. Multiple Bluetooth headset can be paired with tv, but only one headset can be used at the time. Using a wireless Bluetooth earbuds (similar to Air pods), can be used if sharing the sound with another person is needed. Voice command is limited especially with Alexa, but google assistant does a good job. The features on this Nano 9 tv are great, but the picture quality especially in dark scenes, watching SDR channels is just bad. Especially when comparing to half priced 4K tvs and 10-year-old premium tv which have better picture quality. I would not recommend this tv to anyone.

Great TV. So so apps
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced our aging 60 inch vizio. In our large cathedral ceiling tv room. Had added a sound bar to the vizio as our aging ears couldn’t hear conversations. The new LG speakers has the same power output as the old vizio but the sound is so good we unplugged the soundbar. The picture quality is fantastic (my son complained that his new tv that cost several hundred more does not have as good a picture). Installation onto our existing wall mount was a breeze though takes two people, as expected. Not a huge fan of the magic remote - have to shake it often to recalibrate the on screen icon with where we are aiming the remote. But it works good enough. Loses one star so far as we are an alexa household and one of the reasons we went with this tv is the advertised built-in alexa. So far it has not worked as advertised. But love the TV for beautiful image and awesome built-in sound.

Love it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came in for the Vizio p-series and walked out with this LG. I Love this TV. The Smart features have allowed me to cord cut with ease. The picture is awesome (you do need to adjust settings and maybe turn off the local dimming for dark films like horror films). The picture is beautiful though.

Very nice!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just set up my TV today and have been playing with setups and understanding how to work it. So far I am very happy with my purchase. The picture is excellent. I read a lot about this TV. A lot of reviews online and on YouTube that were both good and bad. For the money I spent on it, I'm very happy. Granted this is only the first day but I love it so far. I almost bought an LG OLED but just couldn't justify the cost and the issues with burn in with them. I would recommend this TV for the price and wait until OLED TVs come down in price and any possible problems with them are resolved.

Outstanding picture!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV over the holidays and had a great deal on the TV. But has an adventure on soundbars. Bottom line buy the LG soundbar for better integration with eARC on the LG TV. The Best Buy AV people I spoke to do not have any working knowledge of eARC/ARC implementation on the different TV brands. Granted that they are not really the ones to ask for this information... I researched with the manufacturer and found the implementation on soundbar manufacturers and TV makers are all over the board. So, save your time and frustration and generally matching the brands will help a lot and do not have a low budget on the soundbar if you can help it... I would shoot for over $450 at least on the soundbar if you can afford it.

Regret this LG TV Purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had brought LG TV model LG55SK9000PUA in Nov 2018 and on Aug 12th 2020 it has developed Thermal screen crack internally without any external impact. I had reached out to Best Buy Support who in turn directed me to LG customer support, they have out rightly denied any support since it is beyond the 1 year warranty period. Best Buy had offered a 24 month credit purchase promotion for this product at the time of purchase and now even before the credit payments(6 more months to go) are completed the TV has failed which is ridiculous. I feel very bad for the decision to go with LG TV given this first hand experience and bad quality of the product. I caution everyone out there to make their LG TV purchase decisions with utmost caution given their inferior quality of the products that do not last beyond 1 year of warranty period(on analyzing other website reviews). I encourage other customers who had faced similar kind of issues with their LG TV to list it here as LG Customer support claims this issue to be unique and unknown to them which i feel is not true. Anyway, never expected LG TV and products to be of such inferior quality!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the 65” August 2021 and today it died suddenly. No picture or sound. This was our first LG and our last. We’ve always bought Samsung TVs and never had any problems. We will replace this TV with a Samsung. I don’t recommend LG TV.

Great but major flaw
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.overall I love the TV. However it sees my HDMI connection to my computer (going thru a A/V receiver) as a DVI connection not a HDMI which then forces it to 1080P. I got this TV so I could do 4k gaming from my PC. So this issue is a deal breaker. and on top of it LG did not want to even trouble shoot the issue, poor customer support. Never had this issue with any other brands even very cheap Chinese monitors.

Posted .This certainly sounds odd. We would be happy to look into what could be causing your computer to display at 1080P. Drop us a line on Twitter at @LGUSSupport or on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/LGUSA/ so we can get more info and see what we can do. ^CP
