Great picture easy setup great detail and colorful

This is our second LG and we're very happy with it. The color is amazing and we like the 65" size. We have just a few kinks to work out.

Not only great function but the value is awesome. There were some tech and compatibility hurdles to get passed during set up but nothing that can't be found online. Amazing pictures most movies but the vivid setting can be a bit too sharp and bright for certain movies. That being out there, there are plenty of settings for any movie or mood so anything will look great. Also very good speakers.

Unfortunately this TV is lacking in contrast, color vividness, and dark scene quality. Coming from a 1080p display, like I did, the average consumer would probably love this TV with its clear 4K image quality, with Dolby Vision and 120hz display! However details get lost in dark scenes, and colors don’t pop as well as competing TVs. Imagine that dark episode of Game of Thrones, and even Marvel Movies look dull.

The biggest problem with this TV is that it is very difficult to use. 1. The remote has this pointer that is very difficult to control. Theoretically, pressing enter should make the thing you are pointing at happen. It's maddeningly unreliable. 2. The LG app is limited and difficult to use. You can't really use to to adjust much. 3. I bought another brand TV from Best Buy recently and it automatically set up the remote to control the cable and BluRay. With this LG TV, I have to have four remotes handy. 4. There's little documentation on the settings and things. WebOS has limited app support. The other TV can download any app in the Play store. This is compounded by the fact that screen share is limited and unreliable. Practically this means that I can watch NBA.com games, MLB.com games, etc. on that other TV but not on this LG. My workaround is to set up a computer next to the TV and connect it by HDMI, but I'm running out of HDMI ports on the TV, and anyway, that's pretty old fashioned. The picture, for my purposes, is, meh. My purposes are watching old DVDs which we collected for many years and are not about to replace with BluRays. I don't see that the picture from these DVDs is particularly good, nor is the picture from various streaming services. Also, as I said, watching sports over HDMI from video in my web browser. Its ok, but nothing the exult about. The sound is really good. I'll give it an A there.

If you dont want to get an OLED Tv then this would be your next best choice. Phenomenal picture quality. Crystal clear, very sharp image, and just overall great experience. The one con though is the sound, but it is not as bad as other tvs. Simple fix buy a sound bar. Definitely a 5 out of a 5.

Picture quality is great but the user interface is not as intuitive as I would have liked.... not bad but not great.
