LG 9 Series Nanocell… display issue?

The physical quality of the TV is good, much nicer than a typical 6 series. But we have had issues with a slight glitch in the tv that occurs very frequently, and have been unable to get rid of it. It is still usable, just quite frustrating. I did not see any other similar issues in the reviews, so I probably just received one with a rare display defect. Regardless, after spending a lot of money on a 9 series LG, I was expecting a near flawless product, not constant glitching. I will keep tweaking the display options to hopefully lessen the issue. Have not had this problem on my 7 series or 8 series LG tv’s.

And the blooming is annoying to look at.

LG NANO90

LG 65" Nanocell 90 series TV

The picture was too bright and faces looked washed out. We tried several different picture modes but were not satisfied. They were either too bright or too dark. We also noted that although it is a 120 refresh rate for motion the picture did not keep up with the action and there was a blur with the motion; sometimes with simple head movements. There were also not enough input/output jacks and I was unable to listen to my headphones while the soundbar was in use. We went back to a Sony Bravia and are pleased with the picture and it has an extra plug in to use my headphones at the same time as the soundbar.

Streaming has to be done via iPhone on some apps and some LG does not support others. If I had known I would have gotten a Samsung. The remote had no instructions and I had to ask the Geek squad.

I'd recommended this for any and all scenarios. Extended Review: Let's first get through unboxing experience. Keep in mind I got mine directly from LG so it was shipped with a crate and straps that made me feel very confident in the quality right out the gate. When you pop inside that box the standard is found. Tv stand some screws and a interesting remote control that stands up which I find makes it easier to find. The only thing I would say I didn't like here was the power cable to the Tv being so small not even able to go all the way to one side of the tv without struggling. This is great for mounting so consider that when you purchase this model. Next we dive into the meat of the review overall performance. Starting off you will notice little thing LG has done for you. Example Fireworks will play around the Tv if nothing is on to prevent burn in which Is a nice little touch. The smart features are exceptional with browser functionality alongside all the needed streaming apps I needed. Another big selling point is that remote. When most brands are removing buttons LG is saving you from that life. Though the reason you will buy this Tv is for that picture quality and maybe sound if you don't have an external system. I'm a big movie fan so going from beautiful animation style like Secret Life of Pets or to big action movies like Avengers the picture was amazing. The color in the first movie shine bright and beautiful even in a pretty lit room that I had it placed in. Then the refresh rate of scenes like in Avengers so fast paced with no double imaging is nothing short of impressive. During my time with this Tv I kept asking myself how much was this Tv again? Reason for the price for a 65 inch it's just unreal. I even went as far as to compare it to some of the competitions I had some being just as new as this unit. I found myself liking this set over all but one that was 4X it's price point. To wrap up my review whether you are watching Football or even a kids film with the family this Tv will keep up with your needs and your wallet will enjoy it too. LG just make the power cable longer for the few of us who don't mount is all I ask for the next one. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my review. I hope it helps your next Tv purchase.

LG 65" TV Purchase

Avoid LG NanoCells

By 2 years (and post warranty), the bottom 10% of the screen ends up with serious interlacing issues that only fade after about 45 minutes of running. It's annoying, but the TV itself is very slow to respond and is only 60Hz. It was sold to me as a great alternative to OLED at a lower price, it's anything but. I feel taken. My other LG OLED is excellent, this TV is a total regret. Picture quality otherwise is not good, sound is very low (you need a soundbar to go with it). I would definitely pay more and avoid the NanoCell units in the future.

4K 120hz, but the Pointer speed is 1hz, smh...

Went into pointer speed settings and changed the speed, but to no effect. Updated the software, restarted my tv, still no effect. I’m disappointed. My 2017 LG model had a faster pointer speed reaction than this 2020 model. I literally just bought this tv. Everything else is great. But i’m still not satisfied..

Horrible

I decided to purchase the nano cell tv. Brought it home and i was very disappointed. Picture quality was awful and i couldn't believe this is what LG is putting out. I kept the tv for 7 day and adjusted the color settings and nothing helped. I decided to return and pick up an xbr.

Not Impressed

Shockingly, they didn’t have the sale item Samsung and recommended this LG. Didn’t have time to shop around. This TV is much more subdued color wise than Samsung and not as clear in my opinion. Would not recommend or purchase again.
