great smart tv. unfortunately we bought a 4K tv but there are only 4 channels that currently broadcast in 4K. That is a dissapointment to us; hopefully more channels will be broadcast in the near future.

I purchased based on reviews. The TV struggles to keep up if navigating through apps frequently. I've watched televisions with sharper pictures that are a few years older than this one.

I was surprised how lame the LG App Store was - this TV isn’t that smart - it requires a roku or similar. Also it doesn’t stream HDR 60 FPS even though I thought it was supposed to.

    TV worked for 8 days.

Tv was great but it only worked for 8 days then every time it was turned on, it turned itself off between seconds and sometime 3-4 minutes. Greek Squad came out and said something was wrong with power something and tv needed to be replaced. Every call I made had a wait time of 20-45 minutes. Got switched many times then dropped on first call. Second call they did not have same tv to replace so wanted $700&tax to give me a replacement. That was more then my budget so they made appt to pick -up TV - no show on pick-up. I called again was dropped. After 4th call they finally picked up tv. Now I am still waiting fo money back. Very bad experience for a good customer.

Panel Broken within one month of buying

Panel Broken within one month of buying, has a bright green line going down center of screen from top to bottom. Geek squad doesn't work evening hours so I had to wait a week until they could come diagnose the issue on a Saturday. Part takes 7-10 business days to ship then have to wait until the following Saturday for them to come fix. After 6 weeks of owning this TV I will have had it working for 3 weeks and not working for 3 weeks.

Outstanding Picture & Great User Interface

After months agonizing over reviews and cross shopping prices, I finally purchased this TV. I only did this after buying an LG SK9000 and being very disappointed with the black levels and horrible blooming effects. But I became very much sold on the LG magic remote and user interface. I returned the SK9000 and spent the extra $$$ (reduced in part by Best Buy pricematching) for the B8. The B8 so far has been exceptional and just as advertised. The colors are vivid and the contrast is outstanding. I've never owned a TV with such perfect contrast, where backgrounds intended to be black actually show up in black rather than gray. Like others I worried about burn-in but there are plenty of testing and data that show this is rare and associated mainly with prolonged viewing of static images. I compared this against comparable Sony OLED and the upper end of the Samsung QLEDs, which are also excellent televisions, but ultimately I chose the LG based on a combination of the user interface (UI) and price - the competitive Sony and Samsung options were priced higher and in my opinion offered an inferior UI. It remains to be seen if my review will change once more time has passed. I'm a bit anxious about long term durability of the set, but other than some anecdotal reports of dead pixels, I have not seen any comprehensive data indicating the reliability of these sets is significantly shorter than other brands or technologies.

Thank you for your review it is very important to us. I hate to hear that your television is turning off on its own. I can understand how frustrating this may be for you. I would suggest trying to power cycle the unit. Turn the television off and unplug it from the wall or power strip while it is unplugged hold the power button on the television for 60 seconds. Finally, plug the television back in and turn it on. If there is anything we can do to assist you further feel free to reach out to us directly via Facebook https://www.facebook.com/LGUSSupport or Twitter @LGUSSupport. ^TH LG

    Beautiful!!

I went to Best buy to purchase the Sony 900f 75 inch but then I got to talking to one of the guys there and he told me I should get the B8 OLED 65 inch. I ended up going with the OLED, brought it home and put it up on the wall, my wife loved the picture I did too but I couldn't get the 75 inch don't out of my head so I returned it and got the Sony. I put the Sony up on the wall and fired it up, and was disappointed straight away lol after seeing the OLED for a couple of days so I pulled it off the wall and returned it for another B8 which was kind of embarrassing but man I'm so glad I did. The picture is beautiful and the 75 inch didn't really look as big as I thought it would in my room so if you're in the same predicament go for the 65 OLED. Another bonus for me, within 2 weeks I saw the price drop twice on this TV and Best buy held through to their word and gave me back $700 in total for price matching, really really happy with this TV!!!!
