OLED may work a little too good, not used to such dark areas on the screen. Controls are straight forward, but cursor is a bit sensitive.

I have this TV now about 1 1/2 weeks. I was very impressed with the picture of the television and the Geek Squad setup. However today I noticed a black line going across the screen. It is present in all media modes, i.e. cable box viewing, Blue Ray disks and Netflix. I thought that a $3,500 television would last a little longer than 1 1/2 weeks !!!!!!!! I will be calling Best Buy tomorrow morning and making arrangements to return it.

WOW!! The Best Picture and OS ever!!

we had previously purchased the Samsung Q7 and the Sony X940E TV's and were unhappy with the picture with both the Samsung and Sony. So we decided to take a bigger leap and purchase the LG E7 65 inch TV, and I have to say, this is the best darn picture and amazing sound we have seen and heard from a TV. I am gonna organize this review by category about the TV: 1.OS- The Operating system (WebOS) is ridiculous fast and fluent, no lag at all. A lot of apps to use to take advantage of the 4K. 2.Picture-the picture quality is Amazing!! The TV does an amazing job at upscaling any picture quality below 4K. It also produces amazing black picture as the pixels can individually turn itself on and off, meaning there is no ghosting or halos on the TV at all as all standard LED TV's have that issue. But the picture quality is the best I have ever seen on a TV and I have mounted over 300 TV's for clients. 3. Sound- this TV produces amazing sound for a TV, it has perfect Bass that you can actually feel and when it comes to hearing voices you can hear voices perfectly. The speakers are at the bottom of the TV and they are pointed directly at you. Most other TV's speakers are pointed downward, but I am starting to see TV Manufactures change speakers to point directly at you. These speakers can get pretty loud and hold sound perfectly. 4.Remote- this remote is really neat, it has a scroll wheel on it and also when you point the remote at the TV there is a pointer on the screen much like using a mouse on a computer, the Pinter goes away after a few seconds when you don't use the remote, just think of the remote like a Nintendo Wii remote. Now I did hear people have some complaints about this TV not getting bright enough in bright rooms, but you gotta remember, almost all newer TV's today have eco solutions built in and activated right out of the box, so you need to adjust the settings a little bit to get the picture brighter. This is how in case you wanna know how- go to settings-then picture and scroll to Energy Saving and turn it off. Next go to settings, then picture, then picture mode, then picture mode again and select Vivid, then change brightness to 48 then change cooor temperature to C50. That should help out a lot, if you have questions please feel free to leave a comment below. This TV is the best TV I have ever seen, if you have the budget for this TV or a budget pretty close to buying this TV, I suggest you spend the extra money on this TV, you will not regret it, go see my other reviews on the Samsung and the Sony so you can see why I returned those 2. 5 stars to this TV all the way!!

This is a nice set, but expensive. I had a few sound issues which still have not been resolved. I also found a price drop of $500.00 shortly after I bought this. Best Buy did not honor the full amount as I was told they would. This is very unprofessional and reflects poorly on the company as a whole.

The Best TV you can buy in 2017.

LG has perfected its OLED technology. Took them several years but they finally got it right. Blindingly bright picture (if you need it - but the TV delivers its best picture at normal brightness levels); perfect blacks; vivid colors; subtle details in darker areas of the picture and terrific sound with a built-in sound bar. Also the up-scaler is now quick enough to work properly with no artifacts (for those of you who, like me, watch a lot of film-based broadcast TV and don't have access to 4K streaming). The set's revised design makes it easier to move around and position on a stand. You could pay less for an OLED but you;d be giving up some of these achievements. You could pay more to get a different form factor (a paper-thin wall-hung screen for example). But why? IMO The LG 65" E7 occupies the sweet spot in the company's OLED lineup and is priced right for Black Friday at $3,499. That's still a lot of money for most of us, but you'll be getting a well-made, well-designed TV that you can live with for many years.

    Best TV on the Market

The LG OLEDs are just fantastic. They are utilizing the best picture technology available today and providing a good form factor as well. I currently own both an E7 and a 2015 model 9600. What they have been able to improve on in just two years is quite impressive, as the TV gets much brighter when needed, and the HDR functionality includes Dolby Vision. People talk about the brightness levels being lower than other TVs, but once you get it in your home there is no need for the brightness levels that you see while comparing TVs in Best Buy. The attached sound bar does sound better than most TVs. It's not going to beat out a stand alone AV system or even a top quality sound bar. However, I like having this sound bar available to me when I'm not watching movies. If I'm watching the news or shows that are not bass-heavy, this soundbar more than gets the job done.

One flaw to an otherwise perfect TV

This TV is nearly perfect in every way. The first thing to notice is the amazing OLED picture quality. This easily beats nearly every single other TV in terms of clarity and contrast. I can watch this for hours without feeling fatigued. I literally can't stop watching TV! Now, the few flaws that you should be careful about before buying this TV. Number 1: I like this TV because it has better sound than other models like the B7 and the C7. However, only after purchase did I realize that it is practically impossible to hook up a sub to this while using the built-in sound-bar. You can't just buy any sub and expect it to work, nor can you buy an existing LG soundbar and just use the sub. Basically, you would need a full speaker setup, or add an external soundbar (that's right, a soundbar under the built-in soundbar) to drive a subwoofer. If you want great sound to match your beautiful picture and design, you might be better off getting a B7 or C7, which will cost less. LG, PLEASE release a dedicated wireless subwoofer that can work with these TVs with built in sounders!
