I was then informed they are measured corner to corner (diagonally) so, my ignorance cost me 8", and that makes a difference when measuring width not from corner to corner. That's unfortunate. The picture is great, however and my husband is happy wit it so it gets the second star. My lack of knowledge cost me .

We understand how the size difference can be a bit confusing, as TVs are indeed measured diagonally from corner to corner, which can result in a smaller viewing area than expected when measuring the width directly.
