Service problems

Posted .Hello, and thank you for reaching out to us regarding the picture quality issue you are experiencing with your LG 65 Class UT70 Series LED 4K UHD Smart webOS TV. Seeing horizontal lines or broken video can definitely be frustrating.
Before assuming a hardware issue, there are a few simple troubleshooting steps you can perform that often resolve this type of picture issue:
Perform a Power Reset: Turn off the TV and unplug it from the wall power outlet for at least one minute. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes clear temporary internal errors.
Check Your Connections: If you are using an external device (like a cable box, streaming stick, or gaming console), try unplugging the HDMI cable from both the TV and the device, then firmly plugging it back in. You could also try a different HDMI cable or a different HDMI port on the TV.
Check All Sources: Does the broken video appear on everything you watch (e.g., streaming apps, cable box, Blu-ray player, or even the TV's home screen/settings menu)?
If the lines only appear on one source, the issue is likely with that external device or cable.
If the lines appear on the TV's home screen or the settings menu, the issue is internal to the TV itself.
Check for Software Updates: Ensure your TV's operating system (webOS) is running the latest software version, as updates often include fixes for visual performance issues.
If the troubleshooting steps above do not resolve the problem, the issue may require a service evaluation.

Posted .Hi, Ryan. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your concern about the software on your LG TV (65UT7000PUA) model feels laggy and slow. While LG TVs typically offer a smooth and responsive interface, there can be occasional issues that cause the performance to lag. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to improve the performance of your TV: Sometimes, lag can be caused by outdated firmware. To ensure your TV has the latest updates, go to the Settings menu, select All Settings, then General, and choose About This TV. From there, you can check for any available updates. f you have multiple apps running in the background, this can slow down the TV. Try closing any unused apps and see if it helps with performance. Performing a soft reset by unplugging the TV for a minute and then plugging it back in can help refresh the system and clear any temporary software glitches. If you’re using apps like Netflix or YouTube, clearing the cache from these apps might help speed things up. You can do this from the Settings > Apps menu.
If the lag persists after trying these steps, please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport with your model details. We’ll be happy to assist you further and explore additional solutions to improve your TV’s performance. ^Juvy

Not a Great TV.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When watching bright or moderately lit scenes the color and brightness is okay. You can still tell it is not very bright even with all the brightness setting all the way up. The contrast is not very good in any scene. The brightness during dark scenes is horrendeous. Very hard to watch anything thing when the scene is darker.

Posted .Hi, Zachary. Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We understand your concern about the picture quality on your LG TV (65UT7000PUA) model doesn’t meet your expectations, especially when you're trying to enjoy dark scenes but struggling with contrast and brightness issues. We strive to provide reliable, high-quality products and ensure a smooth viewing experience. Here are a few troubleshooting steps that might help improve the viewing experience: Try adjusting the picture mode to "Cinema" or "Game" mode for better contrast and brightness. Sometimes the "Standard" or "Vivid" modes don’t provide the best results for darker scenes. This feature can improve the difference between light and dark areas in your content. You can find it in the Picture settings menu. Set the backlight to a higher level, and adjust the brightness to a level that is comfortable for both bright and dark scenes. If there’s a firmware update available for your TV, installing it can sometimes improve performance, including picture quality. Regret buying this product!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV came delivered damaged and I unfortunately waited too long to open and inspect the item. I called both best buy and the manufacturer and neither party would help, stating that since I waited to long to open the box, there was nothing they could do. Very disappointed in what happened and the time and money wasted.
