First and last LG TV purchase

This was my first LG TV purchase and it will definitely be my last. I’ve had a Westinghouse Roku smart TV for the past five years and I’ve had zero problems with it whatsoever. I’ve only had this LG TV for about five months and the problems don’t stop. Yes the picture on the TV is absolutely beautiful when it wants to work. More than half the time I get a bad picture that looks like it’s 240P it has nothing to do with my Internet connection when my other smart TV is constantly showing a beautiful clear HD picture. The TV remote is difficult to navigate through and there are far way too many buttons than what you’ll ever need to use. TV overall is just laggy and glitchy. I will be getting a new TV and staying far away from the LG brand.

Hi there. Thank you for reaching us. I'm so sorry to hear that you're having a disappointing experience with your LG 65UT7570PUB TV. It's clear that you were expecting a seamless viewing experience, and instead, you're dealing with frustrating issues.

First and foremost, I want to acknowledge your loyalty to the Westinghouse brand and your satisfaction with your previous TV. It's understandable that you were excited to upgrade to an LG TV, but unfortunately, it hasn't met your expectations.

I'm particularly sorry to hear about the picture quality issues you're experiencing. Flickering or pixelated pictures can be really frustrating, especially when you're used to a clear HD picture from your other smart TV. Please reach out to us on social media @LGUSSupport so we can help you further. ^Cris LG

TV is smaller in box and easier to transport from store to room of placement. Advertised with all the advanced technical specifications, but what it comes with a standard remote and not LG Magic Remote. I cannot find out how to setup standard remote to operate other connected devices. All menu functions for Magic remote. I am roady to box up and return to BestBuy.

    Stern Red Line & Dot

After paying to have it installed my screen has a small red line & small red dot in upper right corner of screen. I decided to just live with in rather than pay to take it down. The hassle of returning and reinstalling wasn’t worth it…

    LG HAS PROBLEMS

I bought the 65 inch and had it delivered. I was watching one of my TV programs. Put it on pause let the room just for a little bit not very long and come back and the TV was off. Each time I would place it on pause it maybe 10 minutes and it would go off. You had to turn the TV back on and go back to your streaming app to resume what you were watching which is very frustrating. Setting this TV it was a horrible event as well. I am so disgusted. I can even load up PBS as they did not have the app. I wished I had known that. In addition, it has two Deaky plastic legs for a 65 inch TV and it is extremely wobbly. No wonder this TV was cheaper than the rest. LG definitely has problems.

Hi there. We understand about the experience with your LG 65UT7570PUB TV. We understand the feelings of when your expectations aren’t met—especially with usability and app availability.

To address the TV powering off after being paused: this may be due to the Auto Power Off or No Signal Power Saving setting, which automatically turns off the TV after a period of inactivity. You can adjust or disable this by going to:

Settings > All Settings > General > System > Additional Settings > Eco Mode > Auto Power Off
      or
Settings > All Settings > General > Devices > TV Management > Timers > No Signal Power Off

As for app availability, not all apps (like PBS) are natively available on webOS, though you might be able to access it by casting from another device or using a streaming stick.

We also hear your concern about the stability of the stand. For extra security, we recommend securing the TV to your wall using the provided VESA mount compatibility or using included safety anchors if available.

Remote and operating system hinder watching experi

The remote is not user friendly-its terrible, picture quality is fair but I had to turn power save features off to get it to perform and it took a lot of time to figure out, sound is expected, not a fan of the web os, I think I gravitate more towards Samsung tvs.

    Useless product

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Just 3 months after I purchased this TV, the screen stopped working. It is so cheaply manufactured that the repairman they sent said the broken part in question cannot be removed or replaced, and I now need LG to send me a new TV. This back and forth process has taken a month at this point, and I am still without a working set.
