Great Affordable Tv for a living room

I got this tv for $799 on sale. I hadn’t really seen this or considered this tv but when I saw the price and the brand I figured what the heck. I had been considering a projector to put into my upstairs den for 2 months but as I was outweighing the pros and cons of a projector, I decided to go with this tv instead. I do not regret it, the picture is great! I messed around with the settings a bit but it looks good!! The 75” was also something that I considered that day I but couldn’t justify spending another $300 for it. It’s perfect for a living room or small movie room. The picture is good no matter what angle you see it from. I love how the amazon an Netflix button is on the remote. I’d recommend a nice sound bar to go along with it. A $200 soundbar will do just fine. The only con about this tv is that the legs are really spaced apart. I have a 56” stand and this tv just missed fitting on it. I feel like they could’ve placed the stands a little closer together. At least close enough to fit it onto a 58” tv stand. Now I have to get a new tv stand that’s 60” or wider. I’d measure your current tv stand before you purchase this tv. It’ll fit just perfect on a 60” stand, but I’d recommend a 65” stand for the extra room in case you upgrade to the 75”.

Ordered the TV online Thursday morning and it was delivered on Saturday. Nice packaging, nice delivery service and most of all a great product for that 699.00 price point. This TV is worth much more, at least double that. It is a bit heavier than I expected, but it does exactly what it advertises and the picture is, well, awesome watching TV and playing games. Very easy putting on the stand legs. When I turned the TV on and connected it to my network, for some reason I had a bit of trouble getting the User Agreement, and you have to review that before you can get to Netflix and Amazon. I reset my router and then it work...once the IP was reset. All in all, this is an awesome TV. Oh, and BB has finally got the online purchasing workflow down pat...seamless...love shopping via their online experience.

I purchased this TV on BF and it was delivered on Saturday. I hung it on the wall, with help. It is heavier than I expected but I am very impressed with this TV. I was going to purchase a different TV but my brother talked me into the LG and I am not disappointed at all. Fantastic picture and the sound was better than I expected. I did hook up external speakers but if I didn't have them the TV speakers would work. I would recommend this TV to anyone without regrets, just look at all the 5 star reviews.

My 3 year old Vizio 60" roasted like a chicken. I picked up the 70in LG after spending many hours reading every review I could get my hands on. Got it home. The metal casing impresses right out of the box. The picture was ok, as were the color and sound. I went on YouTube in search of ways to enhance the quality. I found what I was looking for, and holy crap, this TV does not disappoint. Fabulous picture, great sound, and amazing color. Go for it.

This TV is a great value with A great picture and HDR support. However, it has a poorly implemented feature that dims sections of the screen when it detects that an area of the screen is black. It looks awkward in reality and could be the reason for the bleeding another reviewer saw with his set. It can be sort of disabled via picture quality settings, but comes back on when the TV goes into standby (even when the option is set to off). The only way to completely turn it off is with the LG service remote. A normal user should be able to properly disable such “features” without resorting to that. With local zone dimming disabled the picture quality is superb, and while you won’t get plasma or OLED level blacks, the overall image quality is solid.

    Great TV

Just purchased this TV (January 2019) and couldn’t be happier. The picture is great and the price is even better! There were a couple TVs I was looking at that had a little nicer picture (OLED) but they were over twice the price. I’ve watched cable shows, movies, sports and streamed Amazon on it and everything looks great. I did set it up like others suggested on here. Very happy with this purchase.

Great for watching movies and tv

ok so I’m going to do an actual review of the tv so many of these reviews are like looks good and good price so if you want a real review look here. This tv is amazing for watching movies and tv. Has nice Crisp colors and decent blacks with minimal light bleed throughs. The speakers are also great I haven’t went over 20 on the volume controls and even then it’s screaming loud. Now the sounds aren’t going to have deep bass or anything super deep but the highs and lows are great for in tv speakers. Sound bar or system would be recommended but no need to get it right at purchase. Now for picture I’ve read reviews about the tv being far and no way to adjust it but there is in the settings and I found the best preset pictures is the vivid setting but it comes out of the box with the standard on which is super dark. The worst part of the tv that I found was the motion blur, now watching tv or movies you may not notice but for gaming this tv has really bad motion blurs with fast moving games but for other than that this tv is amazing for the price would recommend picking an open box and save the money

    Best Bang for the Buck

I bought this Lg two weeks ago for $799.00 and I can honestly say that the image is as good if not better than my $1600. 00 Samsung set that I bought last year. The funny thing is that I could not decide what set to get, my price limit was going to be $2000. 00 dollars so I read every review for every set over 65 inches and became very undecided. (paralyses by analyses) so I said the heck with it and bought the Lg. What a surprise this television has a great colorful image and great sound to go with that, If you like sports and movies this is the best bang for the buck.

    Great tv but complicated

The picture was not wonderful out of the box. The manual that comes with the tv is not very helpful, you have to go online to get the full version. The remote and user interface are not intuitive-- there is a steep learning curve. There are a ton of picture settings to fiddle with. However, once you've messed around with them for a while you can dial in a superb picture. This is a great tv, the screen size looks even bigger at home than at the store. You just have to be patient and willing to experiment with all the settings to get the picture right. Use 4K content from Youtube to calibrate the picture to your liking.

    Great 70" View

Not a huge of the built in software, nor the updates without details prior to install. I bought a Roku Ultra and LOVE LOVE LOVE my setup. I do not use the built in speakers so no opinion on those either. 3 HDMI slots are not enough. Forced to add a receiver. HDR and up-scaling is seamless. The display is gorgeous. Sports and video games play nicely. 63" TV stand is minimum requirement with provided legs.
