TV Started Smoking!!!

Got it home, picture was great, gaming was great, the next day after the tv was only on for an hour it began to power on and off unexpectedly. We turned it off thinking it was the programming and my family began to smell something....we pulled the tv away from the entertainment center and the back of the tv was smoking out of the ports. The smell was so strong and we unplugged and took outside immediately! This was a prompt return to best buy, disappointed. Thought I had found a good deal, not so much!

Good While It Lasted!!

By Saturday 5/4/2019 the screen failed, only audio remained; the screen was showing cloudiness, with slight movement. Went to Best Buy in Georgetown, TX the next day and exchanged for the slightly higher priced Vizio TV at $799.99 for same size. Arranged for swap at the house this Wednesday; they took $10 off for our troubles. Great image while it lasted. Hope the new one works out better! The Vizio has better specs, etc........fingers crossed!

Don't understand why so many 5 star reviews.

The colors are washed out and the picture is not as crisp as my 2012 LED. I changed the settings to the recommendations of another reviewer and was still very underwhelmed. I didn't expect a $3000 tv for the price of $699 but even at that price this tv isn't worth it.

Not as good as the reviews say it is

No matter how much you tinker the settings. Makes me think who gave so many five stars to this tv.. Picture is very soft seems out of foucs. I had it out of box for two hrs and then gave up and packed up for it way back to best buy.

Screen refresh is terrible

But once cable was back and I could watch sports the picture is awful. The lag in quick movements like a ball flying through the air was horrible. I wish their was a way to return it and spend a little more for something with 120hz

TV stopped working
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hung this TV a couple weeks ago, there were no issues - the picture quality is average at best but that’s OK as that was my expectation here. HOWEVER, tonight I get home from work and the TV just won’t turn on. I’ve tried everything possible to get this to work but it just won’t power on again, I’ve tested the power outlet, flipped the breaker, nothing. I even unplugged it, held down the power button for 60 seconds and plugged back in and still nothing. Now I’m stuck with a dead 70 inch TV on my wall that I was only able to enjoy for a couple weeks before it crapped out. So annoying. Stay away from this piece of junk. Read the other reviews too.

Beware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointed in my first LG TV, a LED 4K 65". Purchased only three years ago over a comparable competitor for $2000, it now seems to have a main board issue. Called support and extremely surprised at the poor attempts to solve, with no attempt to diagnose. The solutions provided were, hard reset and hold down the power button. Then they direct you to repair shops in your area. This is not a throw away $100 camera or MP3 player, it costs a lot of money a hasn't lasted a quarter as long as my plasma TV. I get its out of warranty, but some help or at least a proper attempt to diagnose would be reasonable. They made the thing, and they saw what you're seeing. Think hard before parting with your hard-earned money on their products. Zero accountability.

Bad light bleed

My partner is hearing impaired so we use the Closed Captions for all TV watching. The light bleeding is so bad that the captions light up the entire screen above and below the text that it is almost unwatchable. The dark scenes say in the Game of Thrones battle, were all lighting up in all different parts of the scene depending on the length of the caption texts. Even the HBO log0 before the shows begin has a band of white above and below the white logo. Taking TV back today. I had read this light bleed was an issue but didn't realize that it would be constant with captions....

HDMI Port stopped working

It really upset me since its a new tv been having it since black friday, never had a problem like that with other of my tvs....Hopefully LG could get it fixed.

Wifi Module Problem
