Better own it!

Really liked all the stats this tv had and speakers had quite a punch of volume for a flat panel tv. Really surpassed my sound bar at some levels BUT, Here’s the part I don’t like I like a tv the doesn’t break in the first week of ownership. A grey bar about 6 inches wide and what looked like fireworks going off inside turned me off from replacing with same model and brand. It’s all about first impressions in this world and well let’s just say LG didn’t impress me. Now that’s not saying that the next set would be the same but for me money is hard earned and if you want me to support your brand you better be just as loyal as my money! As the immortal Stan lee would say. Nuff said!

HDMI Ports Defective out of the Box

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We purchased this TV this week after a 7-year old 65-inch TV started showing its age. Did the basic online filtering and research, trying to keep the expense in a reasonable limit and don’t have a lot of need for a ton of apps or really much gaming …… pretty basic TV use. Most of the movie use is now via streaming and TV use is a mix of regular cable TV, and several streaming services. The TV was available late Thursday afternoon for pickup and had it mounted on the wall mount in time to start it up that evening. Only connection that we started with was the standard cable box on HDMI 1. TV booted up just fine, recognized my cable box just fine, and showed cable picture for the current channel just fine. Decided to change the cable channel (using cable remote) and immediately the TV flashes several iterations of “Invalid format” then changes to a “no input signal” screen, and refuses to recognize the cable input at all. Repeated the process using different HDMI ports for the cable box, and same exact sequence happens on all 3 HDMI ports, exactly the same way. Did several factory resets, upgraded the software, and still does not work. Was considering trying to work through this problem some more, but spent a few hours talking to Best Buy (never heard of a similar issue) and LG (immediately wanted me to contact cable company to diagnose the cable box, which was working just fine with the Samsung TV). From there I looked a little more online and found numerous reports of LG TV HDMI port issues, many of them very close in description to this problem, though mostly not with cable boxes. After reading those and looking a little more made a very quick decision to return the LG immediately and purchase a different brand, which I have one of already. Sorry, LG …… appears on the surface to be a known defect. Would not recommend this TV.

So disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wish I could rate this TV, but I took it out of the box, plugged it in to test it, and it was completely cracked! We had to rent a truck to pick it up from the store in the first place since it’s too big for the car. Now we have to rent ANOTHER truck just to return it and I don’t think they have another instock to replace it. I’m so disappointed and frustrated....

Returning - dead (almost) on arrival

Thought maybe it was loose HDMI but even with nothing plugged in, the LG menu system had the same streak down the panel. Nightmare return process via BestBuy. I'm enduring it. Hours wasted on hold, transferring and getting disconnected and starting at the beginning of the queue again. 7 minute wait = 15 minutes = 37 minutes call back. 3x needed to get return schedule.

Great service from Best But, not so great TV

I ended up purchasing a Samsung Q60 and am much happier. LG’s OLED TV’s are the best on the planet, but don’t confuse the 7300 series with the OLED line. Best Buy was GREAT in returning both TV’s. I have no complaints.

Defective

Didn't last 1 yr with minimal use.
