These LG speakers work great when paired with the LG SK10Y. I would have loved to keep this setup because the LG SK10Y offers some of the best dolby atmos experience compared to the Samsung N850 and the Sony ht-z9f but major issues was on the LG sk10y the dialogue cuts drowned out during action and suspense scenes. But these tears are really loud and give off really great immersive feeling.

SETUP: Attached this rear surrounds to SKC9/SK9Y soundbar. SOUND: As a speaker unit, sounds decent for it's size and can enhance the overall audio experience. It does not add much if you are consuming 5.1 content which is widely available. It will only work with Dolby Atmos audio files. (Netflix, Vudu). FEATURE: Wrong. This is where LG messed up. This was sold as a rear surround speaker kit. However it does not work with the SK9Y/SKC9 as a real rear surround speaker. I was expecting this speaker to work with widely available 5.1 content from Netflix, however no Bueno. In my speaker setup, 5.1 component is handled by the main soundbar unit itself; hence renders this rear surrounds useless. If you aren't consuming 7.1 or Dolby Atmos, I do not see why you need to spend extra on this speaker. LG, if you are reading this, you have mislead the consumer by labelling this as rear surrounds. FORCE Surround on App? No, I do not want to force "Surround" option in the app and make every audio play through surrounds as well. This terribly ruins the overall audio quality on standard 5.1 content. Music lacks bass severely (even when bass is set to max), and Atmos sounds wya too much bassy. TLDR; it is very had to strike a balance with "Surround" setting ON for the rear speakers using the LG Wifi App. Although I am a tech savvy consumer; I do not want to constantly fiddle with the speakers to suit every content I consume.

Six months ago I purchased the SN9YG sound bar. The sound from it was not the greatest, but decent. Sorta. It seems it was really missing the rear channels that my cheap-o Vizo system had. So last week I decided to purchase these rear speakers. Well, that was a big disappointment. Connecting them was a piece of cake. Plug in all the wires, turn it on, and no problem pairing. I then turn on Netflix, find an Atmos show and get ready to be wowed. Eight days later i'm still waiting to be wowed. These speakers just don't do it. Why? Volume levels. There are none. The volume level coming out of these speakers is really low, even turned up to the max of 6. If you're more than a foot away you can't hear it. My old Alexa Dot has louder volume than these speakers. Yes, I used the app. Yes, I made adjustments. My old cheap Vizo system has better AND louder surround than these. So here I am, totally disappointed that my $800+ LG soundbar now feels crippled. The rear speakers are going back. Why keep them if you can't hear them? I may have to dump the sound bar too. At least the OLED TV lives up to it's expectations.

It only works with one particular model. Check your sound system compatible before buying

These speakers work great. I have them paired with the LG sl4y soundbar and the whole system works great. Yes it does work just fine with the sl4y. No problems at all.

Works with the LG GX. Basic speakers but works fine for surround sound.

I am an LG super fan. All my TVs, projector, and some of my speakers are LG. Webos is just great. OLED is just great. Seriously, I have 9 LG products that I bought in the last few years. These speakers are small, quiet, tinny, and just don't add much. $70 seems like the right price for these. They really should just be included with their soundbars. This is the first LG product I just don't like. I'll still keep buying LG TVs.

What a terrible product. I paired with a LG SN7Y soundbar and subwoofer. Also a terrible product. There is nostop static from this unit. I sent them back under factory warranty and they did nothing. I tried replacing the cheap speaker wire and that still has not corrected anything

I have an LG SK9Y soundbar system and was hoping to add their "wireless" satellite speakers for better surround sound without all the wire clutter, similar to how SONOS works. Cut to my disappointed expression as I opened the box to find that each of the satellite speakers have to be WIRED to the remote-base station, for me that's far from being "wireless".

LG wireless means NO WIRES. This unit has a receiver that must be 3 - 5 feet from the sound bar and then wires run to the speakers. It is not close to being wireless. DO NOT BUY! In fact it makes the whole sound bar worthless.

Soundbar stopped working so the rear speakers also stopped.

sound of these lg rear speakers are poor. save your money. i wwill be returning these ASAP...............
