These are nearly useless unless they are mounted within a couple feet of your head. Too quiet for any real contributions to the surround system.

Picture isn’t good especially for that price. The Vizio or TCL looks better than this. Do yourself a favor and go for the SK9000 if you want an LG

Do not buy. Our TV developed a line down it and we spent hours in the phone with LG. They gave us the run around until we finally got the answer that “you can pay a service company to fix it and some of the parts may be reimbursed” What a poor product.

    Great TV

We upgrade from a 55" LG LED 1080 tv to this 75" 4k model. While Cox doesn't have shows in 4k I can really tell a difference between our 1080p 40" in the bedroom and "upscaling" on the 75". I really enjoy that I can change the audio output to bluetooth headphones so I can crank the volume up when my family is asleep, no more holding the remote to adjust volume as it transitions between action scenes and speaking scenes. After setting the tv up we had Cox on HDMI1 and the Xbox One on HDMI2. A week after using the TV HDMI2 went out. The TV could sense there was a HDMI cord present but no audio or video would display. Called Geek Squad and they submitted the repair ticket and scheduled the service call. LG recommended replacing the whole board but the part was on back order for about another week. No worries, I was able to use HDMI1, HDMI3 and HDMI4. We had to take the TV off the wall in anticipation of the scheduled repair so I decided to check HDMI2 again, this was about 1 week after it first went out, and viola! it worked. I decided to continue using HDMI3 for the Xbox One and leave HDMI2 alone. A few days later HDMI3 went out and so it was back to HDMI2. Oy vey. Tech was out yesterday and replaced the whole board and so all 4 HDMI connections are working, at least for now. The TV would normally receive a 3* rating for the HDMI issues but due to the great picture on the TV and attentiveness of Geek Squad and LG to fix the issue they received an additional star. Time will tell if the board was the issue and I'll update the review if the problem reoccurs.

I have a 65 inch Samsung UHD with HDR 4K TV, which is good, but I decided to buy this LG for our a home theater room we set up in our basement because it was on sale. It's surpassed my expectations. The upscaling to 4K (2160p) on this TV is far superior to my Samsung, which, like this LG, is basically an entry level 4K UHD TV. Even when watching old 480p DVDs, the picture is dramatically improved. And for some reason, the picture on this TV has more depth, almost like a 3D image. Another feature that works well on this set is the Live Zoom, where you can expand the image when a movie has black lines. I've had this type of feature in other sets but in this one it works much better, easy to use and it frames the picture easily and it looks sharp even though it's expanded the image.

First One Damaged, Second One Pixels Stuck

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

First off - I love this tv (when it's working). I thought by going with an LG I would be getting good quality at a great price. Unfortunately, this tv has been a pain since ordering it. The first one came damaged in the box. It had a cracked screen so we had to get an exchange. The second one doesn't have a cracked screen but from the moment we first turned it on it had 2 green pixels stuck. Of course if you are far enough away from the screen you don't see them. I even convinced myself for awhile that I was just going to "live with it" and keep this one. I then spoke with a Best Buy home theater rep in store and was told this is not common and I shouldn't keep the tv if it has pixel issues already. Honestly, I thought that if I kept the tv and used it more that maybe the pixels would unstick but the opposite happened. Now, after two weeks, I have more pixels that are getting stuck. I really wanted to love this tv but I cannot risk getting a 3rd bad tv so I am going to a different brand. Best Buy was awesome with all the help with the exchanges and the advice. It's not their fault this tv didn't work out.

It is now 2022, tv is turning off and on repeatedly, even after troubleshooting. Appears that this is a common problem with LG tv that is usually a simple fix. Price comes to about $1000 a year if this is not an easy fix as it was purchased in October 2018. I will update my review if this ends up being an easy fix
