I bought a TV, not an advertising device. There needs to be a way to turn off all of the notifications. I don't want it reminding me I have x number of days left to activate free trials. It took some exploring to find how to turn off all of the crap on the home screen except the apps I want. It is just not very intuitive and I've been doing IT for 25 years. It's almost like they don't want it to be easy to disable all the advertising. Honestly, I've found the best method is to just avoid the webOS and use a Roku.

It's so slow you cant tell if it recognized the remote's command. For instance, say youre in netflix and you press the home button. You wait. Nothing happens. You press it again, it takes you right to the home screen.. Then it recognizes the first button press and returns to where you were! We had this for a week before I was back in store swapping it out.

Horizontal lines after 4 months

As others have said the remote has a delay and it's annoying but whatever, I could live with that (or just use the roku I already have). The problem is that a few days ago it started having picture quality issues with horizontal lines across the screen. There doesn't seem to be any consistency to it, it shows up randomly on some scenes and disappears on the next scene, and then comes back on the next. Before that, I had no problems with this TV. However, I am super unhappy about this as it makes the TV unbearable to watch.

And generally, it's a good tv. Nice resolution for 4K graphics. BUT the TV speakers only lasted 4 months before developing a pattern of working only part-time. We've reached out to LG a few times, but their fixes have been temporary. We had to connect an external set for everyday use. Which is fine, but for the price we paid, I had hoped the speakers wouldn't only work half of the time.
