TV crapped out in under 3 years

Worst purchase I have ever made!

We’ve had it for just over a year now. It overheats and turn off when we use it for an hour (sometimes even less). We talked to LG multiple times. Their recommendation has been “not to watch for this long” and to “give it more room in the back for ventilation”. It’s a TV. Made to watch movies and shows. 99% of these are longer than an hour. And it’s a gallery edition. It’s supposed to be flat in the wall! Even with room in the back it’s still turning off all the time. I couldn’t have been more frustrated with something I’ve purchased before. Paid a premium price for the worst product. I hope BestBuy or LG take action on this. Unacceptable product and customer service.

Too many settings

The LG support team was of no help. A local company wanted $700 to calibrate 2 modes for me to try to help with the brightness problem. Perhaps I don’t have enough technical knowledge to properly set up this tv.

Great TV but worst bestbuy service

I had to reschedule appointment 3 times just to get this tv proper install on TV. First time I schedule I wasn't told need in wall power outlet and HDMI, Second time I was told need to get in wall storage power kit, and the third time it needs a longer power cable to reach and where it needs to be installed near stud finder. Last time buying this expensive tv from Bestbuy worst service ever and I'm been buying from bestbuy since 2009 at same location.

INCREDIBLE!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had so many display devices over the last 4-5 decades (CRT sets, rear projection, DLP and plasma). I've had Sony, Samsung, Pioneer, Toshiba, etc. However, this LG-G2 77" OLED is hands down the finest cleanest display device I've ever owned. Like with several other sets, I had this LG professionally calibrated via one of the highest rated ISF calibrators here in Calif. He found it to be one of the best sets right out-of-the-box, but calibration perfected an already incredible set. Black and white levels are now perfect. Colors and geometry are equally spot-on. 4K UHD and Dolby Vision on this set reflects stunning reference quality imagery. You won't go wrong with this display device.

LG crushed the OLED game!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am personally someone that can't shake the perfection of inky blacks on an OLED panel and I will always choose that over any mini-LED TV all day! The only compromise that people had to make in the past with most OLED TV's was the lack in brightness but these new EVO panels on LG's TV's solves that issue! The main benefit other than brightness that you will get with this Gallery series from LG is the flat mounting design (hence a gallery portrait) for a great minimalistic appeal! Definitely worth the investment!!
