Not what I HIGHLY Expected for 5K+tax!

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came from the 120" TriChroma Hisense short throw laser TV (LOVED IT), we moved, couldn't take it with, went to the Hisense - 100" Class U8 Series Mini-LED 4K UHD QLED Google TV (2023), did not like it at all, it was just "OK" Bit the bullet, dug into my beer money, got the wifes blessing, and bought what I was told to be "THE BEST" TV there is on the market today, this TV. The LG - 83" Class G4 Series OLED evo 4K UHD Smart webOS TV with One Wall Design (2024). It is "pretty good", but worth 5K plus tax, 2K more than the 100" Hisense?? NO FREAKING WAY! The 120" TriChroma Hisense short throw laser TV Trumps them both. But where I live now, that TV is not feasible. I will be returning this overpriced 83" let down.....

Worst Install Service Ever

Service is the worst I have ever experienced. Ordered through Magnolia room in early September. Brought in CAD drawings with full dimensions of room and all furniture. Paid for install on TV, Receiver, Speakers, Subwoofer, wiring, wall mounts, etc…. All based on Magnolia room recommendations. Was told Geek Squad would do the job. Attempt 1: Geek Squad subcontracted Minada for install. Minada subcontracted Mastec for install. Mastec arrived and was unprepared. They installed some items and ran out of cabling and didn’t have the Audyssey tuner. Attempt 2: Geek Squad subcontracted again. Again company had no Audyssey tuner, and didn’t have any cables. Attempt 3: same thing…. Mastec doesn’t understand why Geek Squad isn’t showing up to do the job. They say they do not have the ability to calibrate/optimize surround sound. Numerous calls to Best Buy with no result. This is why they’re a failing business. The worst communication and follow up I’ve ever experienced. Save yourself he headache and hire anyone else.

Still plagued with WIFI issues like other models

I should have stuck with Sony

Terrible Installation Process

After I declined, he refused to install. As we speak, TV is sitting in styrofoam shipping equipment in entertainment room.

Remote and tv won’t turn on until adjusted battery
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture and TV are awesome but I have noticed it has a difficult time turning on from time to time. Not sure if it’s the controller or TV itself. I hit the power button on remote and doesn’t turn on then have to take the batteries out or readjust them and then it seems to be able to turn on. I also hit the power button underneath and it doesn’t turn the TV on in this situation too that’s why I think it could be the tv itself. But when it’s on and going it seems really cool the picture is crazy and the black parts can’t get any blacker hahaha. Dulls the kitchen lights directly on the screen so all that is great it’s just the turning the tv on problem. The sound is awesome too. LGs aren’t know for sound but this one can’t loud fast so that’s really good.

stay away from open box tv from bestbuy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this review is not about the product but about bestbuy customer service bought "open box" lg g4 83'' and drove hour and half one way to pick it up , wasted 4 hours on Sunday for nothing , open box appears to be display model with over 5000hours what was on wall turned on 24/7 since July 2024 , missing remote , wall mount and other accessories , bubble wrapped and was in box what was assembled from 3-4 different boxes , the whole thing looked liked they pooled that tv from a dumpster , not like it was ready for customer to pick up. When you buying open box you assuming that its new or like new tv returned by the customer and some light scratches might be present . In reality you getting bit up poorly packed tv with no accessories or mounts . Bestbuy needs to include that in description , I have no idea how bestuy called that "good" condition

OPEN BOX BUYER BEWARE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased an 83” LG G4 OLED TV in "excellent condition" from Best Buy online, thinking I was getting a great deal. The website made it sound like this TV was in perfect shape. I drove 1.5 hours from Goose Creek, SC to the Best Buy in Bluffton to pick it up. When I got there, I confirmed with the staff that everything was fine and in excellent condition, and they assured me the TV had been thoroughly tested and reset to factory settings—"like new." But as soon as they wheeled the TV out, I noticed it was held together with flimsy blue Best Buy tape on the bottom. At this point, I should’ve turned around. When they lifted the TV into my truck, the power cord literally fell out the bottom. I was already concerned, but I pushed through because, hey, it’s a good deal, right? Big mistake. Once I got the TV home and started unboxing it, the "excellent condition" TV was missing the back cover plate, wall mount, screws, remote, and the instruction/warranty manual. I tried calling the Bluffton store multiple times, but surprise! You can’t get through to a store directly. You’re routed to some call center. After talking to THREE customer service reps, all they told me was to just drive 1.5 hours back to the store. Are you kidding me? The truck I drove there with isn’t even mine! This is completely unacceptable. I then tried to call my local store in North Charleston. No luck. Again, no direct line. I was stuck with the call center, which refused to give me a number to speak directly with the store. Frustrated beyond belief, I decided to just drive to the North Charleston store in person. The response was pathetic. No apology, no offer of a solution. The so-called manager didn’t seem surprised at all and told me to "Google the General Manager’s name and email them." Really? That’s how Best Buy handles things now? To top it off, two employees admitted that since current CEO took over, Best Buy doesn’t care about customer service anymore—only about profits. This whole experience has been a nightmare. Yes, I could return the TV, but at this point, it’s not even about that anymore. It’s about warning people: Best Buy doesn’t care about YOU, they care about YOUR MONEY. And frankly, it’s beyond frustrating. I AM AWARE THIS IS A PRODUCT REVIEW---SINCE I CAN'T USE THE TV TO ACTUALLY SEE IF IT WORKS BECAUSE OF MISSING PARTS AND NO ONE WANTS TO GIVE A ME A RESOLUTION I'LL JUST WRITE MY REVIEW OF OVERALL RATING VERY POOR.

Can't even enjoy my purchase

I would suggest anyone thinking of getting this tv, to purchase it elsewhere or be aware that issues will occur. Delivery and installation service kept changing! They said inventory issues yet the website date for delivery or pick up is still the same, so I contacted the supervisor they said it was a mistake on the website. So I'm not the only customer that will have these issues
