Gorgeous picture, good price - LG does it again!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned 3 LG TVs in the past and after I purchased a 70" LG 4K LED UHD TV in May for my media room (another awesome TV), we realized we had to go bigger. This 86" TV was a lot more expensive than the 70" but still the price was competitive (and BB price matched another local competitor). The delivery was flawless and the guys also installed the feet and placed the TV on my stand. Great service. Right out of the box, the picture is amazing. I did select one of the picture choices (HDR Effect) and may tweak a custom picture but again, out of the box was sweet! The TV speakers are pretty decent on their own but I set mine up with my Onkyo 5:1 surround system and WOW....it truly is a movie theater experience. And just one HDMI cable from the back of my TV to my receiver did it! The magic remote is awesome and makes using the TV a breeze. The TV is pretty HUGE and a little over 100 lbs so be prepared to be overwhelmed a bit. I used the wall mounting screws on the back to attach small black chains from the TV to the ceiling beams for stability. I have no kids in the home to worry about but just in case it tries to tip over, it's secured! I swear by LG TVs and I will continue to purchase them and promote their greatness (hopefully I won't be buying any more, but you just never know). Buy this TV!

I love this TV!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My kids wanted the biggest TV in the world and this is the biggest that was in store available. There are more expensive ones with “better picture” but this one has been perfect for my family. I’m a spec geek and picture quality enthusiast but for the price I paid this TV had amazed me. The functions are quick and responsive but you’ll have to get used to the mouse pointer on the screen. Some people find it annoying. We use it to play games and stream from different platforms. The sound is very good and nice and loud. Somehow it fills my living room unlike my previous tv which was more expensive than this one. ** My Favorite Functionality is BLUETOOTH, you can now watch TV with your AirPods or any Bluetooth devise. I found it so useful to Bluetooth to the house sound system and it’s perfect for the football games. It was annoying running RCAs through the wall to the house amplifier. That’s a thing of the past. There’s just a millisecond lag that’s hardly noticeable. I really love the technology it came with for such a small price. I can live without the nanotechnology by the way, this tv is perfect if you want to save the extra thousands.

Great value
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this tv for a few weeks now. Really have nothing to complain about. Setup is easy, remote is great. Picture quality is not that of smaller TVs twice the price, but when you consider the size and price it’s a lot of bang for the buck.

Make sure you have 12 feet.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have only had the tv 2 weeks, but couldn't be happier. If you want a small bezel, this is not the TV for you. I would say it's about 1 in. But, due to the size of the TV it's not nearly as noticeable as you would think. The remote has the ability to move the curser by pointing it at the TV. It also has a rolling scroll like a mouse to go up and down in Netflix, very cool. Also when viewing this TV from an angle it doesn't seem to lose clarity and trust me with a tv this size people will be viewing it from all angles. Make sure your room allows you 10 - 12 feet from couch to TV . Trust me we were at 10 feet and moved back to 12 feet and it's much more of enjoyable viewing distance.

Great overall value but sound is lacking
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture even during full daylight in a bright room. Easy menu, even the magic remote was a breeze (gives me wii remote vibes.) The only thing lacking is the sound, you have to crank that sucker almost all the way up and it’s still not that loud (my other tv is a hisense and I usually don’t go above a 4 volume) So definitely plan on a soundbar. I added the Sonos Arc and sub and it really brings you to a whole other level of awesome. Also like others have mentioned...MEASURE! Make sure you have plenty of distance between the tv and your sofa. Geek squad was great, professional, efficient and adhered to safety protocols.

Just fantastic..
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing picture when compared to the size of this TV. You can’t compare this to an OLED but you will be very satisfied when you compare it to other TV’s of this category. I have mine hooked up to my Sony Atmos sounds bar and the set up is no short of a full blown home theater set up. The current price is $200 less than what I had purchased for but I am still not disappointed for the money I spent. Enjoy the tv!!

Amazing... Big TV. Big Picture. Small Budget.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this LG television when it went on sale. $1,499 for an 86" TV is unbeatable... With that being said, I knew that it was not a top of the line model. So, with that being said, let's get started. First off. it's big. I mean really big. The TV I replaced was a 65" Samsung UN series. This 86" makes that one look tiny by comparison. Ok. Quality. The LG UN8500 has a really good picture out of the box. There are many advanced features that allow you to tweak if you so desire. For a "budget" TV, I was overly impressed. When streaming a 4K movie, wow.... Amazing clarity. I was amazed with the 4K picture. The sound from the internal speakers was pleasantly surprising. I happen to have a LG sound bar with Sound Sync which works flawlessly. This is my first time using the webOS as I prefer the Roku platform but I found it simple and easy to navigate. No issues whatsoever. Overall, if you're looking to super size your TV on a budget, this is definitely the way to go.

Just WoW!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's going to take a minute to get used to how big this TV is, and thats a good thing. You're going to need a lot of wall space and seating at least 10 feet from the screen. If your room supports this, then you've hit the jackpot! I replaced a 65" that now seems small. The viewing experience is totally immersive and as cinematic as can be, what a treat. This is my first LG, and I'm impressed by the picture clairity. Factory settings were ok but I did tweak a little and the picture quality is brilliant. Do yourself a favor and let the Geek Squad mount this on your wall. Me and my hubby have mounted smaller TV's but this one would have been out of our realm. Also, make sure you buy a really high quality mounting bracket to support the weight. I posted a couple of pictures but its kind of hard to convey the size in the picture, you have to see it in person. Compare it to the TV stand below it, which worked ok under our 65in. This TV is EyeCandy.

Great Mid Level TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV from a different company at first, came in cracked and broken. Replaced it with same TV from Bestbuy and boy let me tell you. Picture is excellent, huge TV on the wall. A bit heavy if you are trying to hang it with another person but once up on the wall, it is a beast. Great TV.

Just buy this tv and stop with the research
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best thing money can buy, it took many trials to get here, started with a 70 inch sharp tv I ended up returning, because it just was not big enough. Then I got this same LG at 82 inches, but with a price difference of only 100 dollars I opted to get the extra 4 inches. In between I bought the Samsung Q80 QLED, the 1500 price difference is not worth it, so returned it, I almost pulled the trigger on the Sony X900CH, but it was sold out everywhere Picture is great for me and the family, everyone just loves this tv Connected easily with sound bar, hdmi arc is so far flawless, but the internal speaker is also amazing, I just needed the extra bass Internet is hard wired, so smooth, All the apps work well and very responsive Great Bluetooth sound on my headphones when I chose to watch when everyone is sleeping Airplay was flawless Am not a fan of the LG Channels. I just feel someone is watching, but there is enough there to survive on without paying for cable or other streaming channels LG gallery is mind blowing, truly, truly mind blowing, I have family pictures playing on the screen and for this alone, the tv is well worth it.

LG TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great Tv. I really like to picture. I would recommend that you get the geek squad protection. I had the tv installed by Best Buy and maybe five hours after it was installed the tv went out. I am so glad I had the geek squad protection because they just brought me a new tv after they checked the tv out.

Better than Samsung
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Initially I was confused between this one and Samsung TU8000. Finally bought this after lot of research and comparisons. It’s much better than Samsung in picture quality. The magic remote is awesome and can be used for all connected devices.

Big Jim’s living room
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV weighs 105lbs so needed help to hang on wall. I have dish network with Klipsch sound bar and the crossover to use these instead of the LG remote was pretty much automatic. Great quality for cost and recommend.

This TV is awesome!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV with a great picture. It is beautiful! I highly recommend it. I plugged it into a sound bar before turning on so not sure of the sound. My only gripe with it is where the screw holes are for the mounts. They are quite low which makes it top-heavy. The mount I used said it would hold a TV up to 90" and 150 pounds. I tightened the tilt screws on the mount with a wrench as tight as I could and the TV still tilts all the way. I put some shims in the mount to keep it from tilting and that worked so it is perfect. I plan on keeping it where it is for at least the next decade or so, so it doesn't matter. You will want two or three guys lifting and holding it when you mount it.

Very Nice TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was at Best Buy just looking around and ran across a floor stack of this the 75" version of this TV . I could not believe the price so I asked the sales associate if I could view the display so I could see the picture. I couldn't believe my eyes how clear the picture looked. WOW!! The sales associate also told me he also had an 86" version with the same specs and could have it delivered the next morning (football Sunday). I took the deal. The TV was delivery by 9am the next day allowing me enough time to get it setup for the football games. I was not disappointed in the standard-HD picture nor the 4k picture. Great product, nice price, great deal!
