Incredible value for a LG 86 inch TV

Exchanged this tv vs the Vizio 75 inch OLED which was broken upon delivery. And it was out of stock afterwards.. I’m torn between a 4 or 5 star rating. I’d say its very good at 4.5 stars! The picture quality is great considering it doesn’t define deep blacks with clear definition however that’s not the core purpose of an UHD direct lit display. Their product is about value! As such my review focuses on the question, is this tv absolutely worth the money? My answering is yes as long you understand the products limitations based on its features and technology. If you want a superior picture then add $700 to $1000 plus for an OLED or QLED or Nanocell. Oh I must say the tv has a tremendous amount of features!!!

Great tv, good color, easy to navigate and use. Mounted on the wall with the same mount we had for the 75" tv. Quick delivery with geek squad, we mounted it ourselves, easy to do.

This TV has been fantastic. The quality of the picture, the refresh rate and the brightness are all excellent, which is incredible considering the large 85 inch size. Absolutely no regrets on this purchase.

Great living room tv!

Bought this for my first apartment and I have loved it! The settings and customization you can do within the TV settings is vast, much more than I would have expected. I use the TV for streaming and occasional console gaming with my PS5. The game enhancing feature is great at mitigating the delay you can feel with game controllers on bigger screen TVs.
The TV will also automatically detect if you are watching a movie, gaming, etc and ask you to adjust the picture and settings to best fit what you are doing. I have never had a TV that was able to do that.
One very small complaint is just with the weight distribution. The TV is so large and thin that it can wobble easily. You definitely need to be mindful when near it and not do anything crazy that could wobble it. Of course, hanging the TV would solve that as well.
Overall, very satisfied!

I know nothing about TV’s. The last one i bought was 11 yrs ago. I was having ppl over for the superbowl. I wanted another tv so there wasnt so many ppl in the same room. I have a big wall, i wanted 75 inch. Wife said get the biggest they have since we dont buy tv’s often. Ita huge 12 ppl watched the game no problem . It looks good enough, better than a projector, imo . If you want a big af tv for a good price its worth the purchase. If you’re a tv snob then keep looking. I got it for 999 on sale and had 250 in gift cards at the time super satisfied. Everything is cooler on tv when its big af!

This has been a great tv, I replaced a 75" with this, and the size difference is significant, creating a truly cinematic experience in my living room. Several people told me this tv would be too big for the size of your living room, I totally disagree, it's awesome!
Super clear picture, and the smart tv menu, which includes Samsung tv includes may programs I use, and would have to pay the Satellite company big money to get, is free on this tv.

Good picture, and sound. But a lot of minor\moderate issues for advanced users.
Have an issue with connecting my soundbar (Klipsch 400) using eARC HDMI - showing mute icon all the time, no sound. LG support is pointing finger into Klipsch, and vice versa. It was working correctly with my Samsung TV.
UI is relatively slow - a lot of actions requires more than second to respond, often leading you to think that IR remote signal was not received and you are pressing the button next time.
PIP mode often makes the whole picture to crash, that needs to be solved with TV restart.
Testing the picture with all-white screen showing you LED grid around 6x6 inches per cell

Very good for the price. Some unevenness in the back lighting and not great for dark scenes. Smooth motion has some edge blurring. Otherwise very good tv for most viewing and price is unbeatable for a 85" class tv.

I've had this tv for about a month and so far the TV has been pretty great. The picture quality is good. I honestly don't notice much of a difference between the 120hz refresh rate and my old 60hz as far as motion is concerned, but overall it's a quality TV. Only qualm I have about it is the remote isn't the greatest. Pretty easy to hit the wrong key. Also not a lot of options for HDMI or USB input. Other than that I love it so far.

Decent for the money. Not the brightest TV on earth. Struggles in HDR dark scenes. Some light bleed on shows that don’t fill up the screen. For $1000.00 It’s huge and has a fairly solid picture.

Got this part of the sale price going on now and we upgraded from a 65 to this. Honestly dont understand peoples reviews that the image is bad or blurry. I see nothing wrong with the image during the day or night. Works perfect. I will agree remote that comes with it is basic and doesnt lite up but i dont care for that either way cause i use my apple tv for everything and it all syncs well! Very happy with the purchase. And it dont take much to please me. It does the job.

With some fine tuning the picture quality is really good. The blacks are lack luster. However for the money and size of tv I don't think you could possibly find anything that compares to it. If you watch a lot of sports this is the TV for you. We use soundbar so I can't comment on the audio.
