Installation was easy and the system operated flawlessly after installing the software. I did a completed backup of my computer with ease. Very good product. I also use it to view Blu-ray movies on my tv set.

Fast player and it works great for watching blu rays.

This external DVD / BRay/Write & read unit did show very good performance, compatibility and easy going config/operation with the HP Envy laptop. There is only one observation. The unit looks to be fragile and need to be handled carefully. I mean is not designe for mobile when connected to the laptop.

When I bought my new Dell computer, it had no drive. Hence, I purchased this LG DVD/BLUERAY/RW drive to watch Blu-ray discs and others. The drive is good, but you will need a solid graphic card on your device to watch Blu-ray discs like me. It is easy to connect once you download the software. Cyberlink runs the software, so it can be a little tricky as to the installation. However, you always go around it by downloading third-party software and go around it.

Very light and portable size. I use it for when I travel and need to watch a dvd for a job. Easily fits into my bookbag. Just wish i had a case or something to put it in to help protect it a little more.

Don't cha just hate how tablets or some laptops no longer have cd drives. Or if they do, they do not let U r/w or U just have an upload device. if U have one installed. This external drive not only lets U create disc of U R own movies. It also lets U watch them and use it as a re-writeable CD drive for storage. Not to mention it plays Blue-Ray or HD movies on U R tablet

I cannot complain about this burner at all. It does what it is supposed to do when I ask it to do it. Very thin so it fits along with my laptop and works great for playing Blu-ray when I'm away from home. It comes with the software for playing DVDs and Blu-ray discs, so one less thing to buy!

The lg 8x external usb blu-ray dvd+ rw/cd-rw rewriter is probably the best thing i bought from best buy for my lap top. It dos exactly what it says.

I use it for 1. Recording music CD's, data DVD's. 2. Playback of video DVD's and Blu-Ray discs. I have not yet tried the BD-RE aspect of the device. This is a portable device I can use between several different computers. It works flawlessly, takes up little space, does not require power other than from the computer, and is easy to operate.

Works well, not super noisy, no complaints. Plug included, nothing missing.

Great little drive. Didn't have any issues making it work with my new Mac Book Pro. Would have like to have some Mac Blu Ray Software with the drive, but all in all it did what I wanted it to do.

This player is recognized at once by the OSX system but requires a BluRay application to play disks. Small price for a portable BluRay.

This device can handle 4k when flashed correctly. It's been reliable and has handled every disc I've tried to watch or rip.

Great drive if you need something that will do Blue Ray DVD's and all the other type DVD's. I made a Blue Ray DVD and then copied it using the same drive. Worked perfect. A great Blur Ray writer. Fast for a USB. I could not ask for a better drive for the price.
