A portable USB Blu-ray DVD drive that is powered by USB. It comes with a dual USB cable for powering the drive, so you must have two available USB ports to use. It is Blu-ray and comes with software to watch movies, etc. On installing software it also updated the firmware of the drive. This took quite a while and stalled, but didn't effect the computer or DVD drive.

Excellent easy to install Blu-Ray/DVD external drive. Some installations may require 2 USB ports but on my HP laptop the external drive runs great on just 1 USB port.

Easy to hook up and great quality images.! Unfortunately my new computer that I purchased does not work. It had yo be returned due to a faulty power pin internally!

Gets the job done but it’s a little noisy and lightweight with a short cable. A great option for mobility but not the best for a desktop permanent install at least in comparison to my older LG bluray burner that features a strong housing.

I was skeptical about this drive being so cheap but that was quickly resolved. I use this drive for every burn now its perfect have had zero problems reading BR, DVD, or CD's. Great product for a small price.

I purchased this DVD player to be used in my church for entertaining and training. It is easy to connect to the multi-port device that I purchased. Because it is a Blue-ray, and I only had one port available, I did need to get the multi-port, but now all is well. Very glad I purchased this Blu-ray Disc Player. I only knew about this through the assistance of David Williams, who is the technical consultant for Best Buy. He is great to work with.

I love the size and speed of this drive. It is thin enough to fit in a pocket on my laptop bag. It does require 2 USB ports for power and data access.

Good speed, good quality, so far no complaints. Only con would be that it doesn't come with software to play a bluray

I purchased this drive to enable installation of software on my new computer that doesn't have an optical drive. It worked great right out of the box with no issues. Awesome size-weighs next to nothing.

Small, running very quite. Play blu-tar disc. Write double disc. Plug in usb, very easy to use. Come with program play movies, music disc.... I love it.

Bought this for my daughter to use off in college. Her laptop didnt have an optical drive so she could watch DVD's. It was easy to setup and works great.

This LG unit is a slim-design Blu-ray, DVD, CD player/writer that makes a very good addition to a Windows PC that lacks an internal drive for these functions. I was able to plug in the drive and install personal application software from disc without even first loading the included Cyberlink media software for Windows. Once Cyberlink's apps were installed, DVD and Blu-ray playback were simple. I have not attempted to use the included backup software, but am reasonably certain that the drive should handle file storage, backup and recovery functions as well. My only complaints are related to the USB connection cable supplied with the drive. It provides a maximum length of two feet, and this limits the location at which the drive may be placed when space around the computer is limited. Additionally, be aware that for Blu-ray playback, the USB cable includes a second connector that is also needed for power, at a very restrictive distance from the primary connector, so you will need two close USB ports on your PC for Blu-ray playback. I think the overall quality is good for the price, although with such a slim design, I think an automatic disc feed and ejection would have been more impressive. The mechanical disc loading tray seems a bit thin, with a minimum of material that gives the drive a cheap feel. It seems durable enough, but also seems a bit dated in design.

Works as intended. Simple to set up. Great way to add a disk drive to a modern PC.

With people in the household hogging up the TV I needed a blu-ray player that would run on my PC. This unit fit the bill. It was slim, and at a good price.

Overall it is a pretty good drive. It does everything I wanted it to, and it is nice and small. It works very well on all my PCs and will read and write DVDs and BluRays just fine. On my Mac, though, not so much. While DVDs work fine, I have been unable to get any BluRay functionality at all and I've tried. It isn't the drive's fault, however. The software that comes with the drive is ok, but is PC only. That being said, it still works well with DVDs on Mac. Just don't get your hopes up of using BluRays with this drive and a Mac.

Needed a rewriter for new laptop to install printer options. This was perfect. Can carry on trips to watch movies on laptop instead of purchasing movies in the limited hotel library

I got it for the blu-ray capabilities. Still though since the media cd wasn't compatible with the blu-ray player for some reason I took off a point. Still works like well as expected.

Most new lap tops don't come with DVD drives anymore. We paid a little more for this drive. It's well worth it, since my son likes watching Blu rays in his room. Extremely easy to use
