Perfect for my laptop (which doesn't have a DVD drive). Easy to install. So far its been able to read all CDs or DVDs. Would be nice if it had Lightscribe.

Its small and slim and it's easy to use... I didn't even had to install anything.. my computer downloaded everything I need it by itself

Great solution for newer laptop with no CD/DVD drive. Small, low profile, easy to use. Reasonably priced and gets the job done.

So I have a old MacBook with a USB port and it was the perfect player to buy because it can not only play DVDs but BluRays as well (with the included software) and I use this to rip movies with MakeMKV to save on my computer whenever I take my computer on the go so this is the best drive that you can buy!

I have been very pleased with this product so far. It's very portable. It handles playback of Blu-ray and DVD very well. It comes with software that does a good job of providing playback options.

This is the loudest thing in your workspace. That includes if you happen to work next to a train track, or in a machine shop. I have never experienced a louder "modern" electronic. It does work though, but I feel bad.. Like it is trying it's best and I shouldn't push it too far. Would not reccomend.

compact, easy to use and reads and writes cd media flawlessly. My only complaint is the packaging doesn't indicate it requires two usb ports for Blu-ray functionality. It will play ordinary DVD's with one usb connection. It does come with a cable that sports two to one USB connector.

Good external drive if your computer doesn't already have one. It can play and write on blu ray, which is nice

Haven’t had any problem or complaints. Plug and play and is super user friendly. Writing and loading speeds are pretty fast even though this is USB 2.0. Super slim too!

It's actually a handy little disc drive. Small, lightweight and worked great the few times I've used it so far. One thing that bothered me when I made the purchase was that the cable has two plugs they want you to put in USB ports. I bought a hub because my new laptop only has one standard USB port. I found though that if I use a standard cable with one USB plug it works fine plugged into a powered hub. I haven't tried it without the hub since with only one port available I need a hub anyway.

Perfect! New laptops don’t have a cd/dvd reader and the federal government gives out cds! lol. It performs flawlessly and I would recommend this to anyone with the dvd/cd need. It’s design is amazing and very easy to install and use. I would buy again and recommend you too as well

Works well, easily portable, the software bundled leaves some room for improvement and it's a bit on the pricey side. All in all, I'd buy again.

Bought this as my laptop had know disc drive. Quality to price ratio is excellent does everything thing with ease and bluray is superb to the point we use it regularly just for entertainment. Only issue is it requires for some odd software reason the use of the touchpad when viewing movies for input rather than my cordless mouse I normally use. Actually that's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Be aware it does use two usb ports!

I bought this basically so I could watch Blu-ray Discs on my laptop. I didn't even realize that it had writing capabilities as well! What a great bonus! Easy set up. Easy use.

I recently built a new PC and I didn't want to deal with buying a case with an optical drive bay. So I replaced my internal drive with this. It gets the job done, and it stores away easily because it's small.

I needed a new dual layer dvd burner and figured why not get a blu-ray burner. Also powered over USB would be necessary to be mobile. I do a lot of photo/video work and need to back up data frequently (I back up to hard drives as well as burn discs). Looking forward to backing up to blu-ray soon and since the option to have a drive with that feature was available, I figured why not.

I was looking for an external blu ray player for my laptop for travel. I looked at a handful of models and settled on this. Glad I did. Light,quiet, and fast. Perfect choice.

IT was easy to install and runs great. I have already used it to play my favorite music CDs. Sound is great too!

so far, product lives up to the product labeling and no compatibility issues win WIN 10. Since BD-XXL DVDs are expensive, I haven't been able to verify that claim. Regardless, burning to and playback (reading) data DVDs only has not been a problem. No attempts to write / create any video DVDs. I have only had this product for about 6-weeks now, with occasional use to back-up hard drive data and personal files. I have not installed the companion DVD / Blu-Ray player software either (or any other companion software), so no evaluation / review for those products at this time.
