Bought to play DVDs and Blu Rays on my PC, and to save a copy of movies I own for offline useage, works like a charm! Plug and play, recognized in VLC and Windows, and is actually really quiet for all the bigger it is. Note: It uses 2X USB 2.0 plugs, but even at 6X (max read speed of blu rays on this drive) there's still bandwidth leftover so don't feel like you NEED a USB 3.0 drive, it won't read/save any faster. I've found a regular 2 hour Blu Ray will take around 30 minutes to 'save'. Compressing/converting is what takes time, and that's all up to your PC specs. I'm not here to write a tutorial on how to do it, there's plenty out there already. Including one to 'upgrade' the firmware for 4k and 3d discs too. *wink wink* I'll try to return in a few more months with an update or if anything goes wrong, but I'm fully pleased with this drive currently.

Simple hook-up and installation procedures. Light weight and fits easily into your computer case. Uploading or downloading made easy and fast. Plays great dvd or game quality.

This drive is the best drive I ever bought. Its light its fast and super affordable. I am able to use all the backup and recording software with this drive . Its a super buy.

My grandson and I use this in my craft room. He can watch his movies and I can craft away. It is compact, so easy to take with us on vacation and hook up to my computer.

Since laptops no longer have internal optical drives external ones like this are a must. I use it on a machine running Windows 11. Setup was as simple as plugging it in. the drive comes with Cyberlink Media Suite so software and codecs for playing DVD's and Blu-ray movies are included. I haven't had a need to burn a disc since I got this drive but given past experience doing so should be no different than using any other burner.

Exactly as described, this is a great item that I cannot recommend more. I had an external DVDRW, but needed something that could deal with blu-rays. For the price hands down this is the item to get.

I've relied upon my built-in Super Drive on my iMac for all of my DVD & CD needs, and have never really thought about Blu-Ray until I wanted to start backing up my discs. So I did some research and price comparisons before landing on this little amazing machine. It doesn't get any easier: plug and go! I use Handbrake (there's great instructions out there on how to make it "see" your BR discs) and it works like a charm. The unit is plastic but incredibly small and solid feeling. The eject button is a bit small (my only issue) but I also have large hands / fingers.

Been wanting one of these little players for a long time, and so glad we bought it. I missed watching dvds on my laptop, quietly at night. Pretty pleased with this unit, except that it does periodically slow down for buffering. It's not a huge deal, but the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. Otherwise very pleased.

I basically just plugged it in and started using it, no setup required. Works great and price is very reasonable. Used mainly for creating backup copies of my Blu Ray disks.

Great player if you’re looking to play BluRays & DVD’s. I have not tried to burn anything yet. It’s a bit noisy & shaky. I’m glad it worked on my old Gateway.

This is a great external drive for your laptop. It is easy to set up and works great for viewing blu rays as well as burning and ripping cd's.

A portable USB Blu-ray DVD drive that is powered by USB. It comes with a dual USB cable for powering the drive, so you must have two available USB ports to use. It is Blu-ray and comes with software to watch movies, etc. On installing software it also updated the firmware of the drive. This took quite a while and stalled, but didn't effect the computer or DVD drive.

I was skeptical about this drive being so cheap but that was quickly resolved. I use this drive for every burn now its perfect have had zero problems reading BR, DVD, or CD's. Great product for a small price.

Excellent BD player small in size big in performance. Comes with nice software bundle, but I would recommend adding a better suite.

Excellent easy to install Blu-Ray/DVD external drive. Some installations may require 2 USB ports but on my HP laptop the external drive runs great on just 1 USB port.
