    12 days after it was no longer returnable it quit working, media not valid, tried several dvds to no avail.

    Due to the fact that this device was being sold with a USB cord that didn't even fit the unit, we didn't have a chance to use it, but returned it.

    Bought this April 13 and it has already failed. Won't play discs, just spins in circles making noises.

    the first time i used this product i could only burn 3 or 4 blue ray discs. this time i could burn only one before it broke

    this drive is not worth the money, it sounds like its having a heart attack trying to play a blu ray if it plays at all. its like its under powered.

    This item requires two USB cables to be connected. Doesn't work on a mac laptop...and also a very dumb design.

    I wasn't able to play Blu Rays. I even purchased the upgraded program. It played a DVD fine.

    I've bought LG products before and never had any problems. This failed at the start. I found it to be a bad connection at the USB port on the burner.

    Great little drive but setup could be better

    I purchased this drive because my new laptop (and most laptops these days) does not have an optical drive. I researched and saw this was comopatible with Windows10 and could read CDs, DVDs and BluRay. Getting it set up to play back DVDs and BluRay was a bit of a challenge and the error kept referring to Microsoft Visual C++ and advised to contact Microsoft. I called Microsoft and they pointed the finger at LG and were actually quite useless. I contacted LG and they referred me back to Microsoft...sigh. After various google and forum searches, I figured out the problem on my own and downloaded was needed/missing. Now, I was able to install Office and play back all sorts of things. It works wonderfully and I may be getting another one for my daughter who is going away to college. It is a bit pricey in my opinion but it seems there are not many options especially for Windows10 laptops without an optical drive. Many optical drives are not comopatible or upgradeable to work with Windows10. Overall, I like this drive but wish setup had been easier.
