Wanted to buy a apple player but didn't have all the features this one had and was cheaper the salesman was awesome about both products and their features and very easy to set up,great deal and works great.

Lightweight and easy to install. Only drawback was that it uses 2 USB ports so if you have limited ports this could be an issue.

Asked salesman for blue ray player to add on with my new I mac and he suggested this drive. It worked great all I had to do was download a free blue ray player app and it already worked for all other media.

I would definately recommend this drive. Works great, no problems. I have not yet tried to play a commercially made bluray movie on this drive but I have no doubts it will work..

Use it on my Mac and it works great! Doesn't take up a bunch of space, but is slower than a desktop version, but that is to be expected. Either way, It is exactly what I needed.

This device comes with cyberlink media suite and can play dvd and blu ray. My only problem being that the device does not stream to the television over hdmi.

Very noisy when spinning up no external power supply. I recently changed PC cases and got one without ports for an internal optical drive so I tried one of these but found it lacking for my taste so I returned it. I think this would be a great drive paired with a laptop but ended up buying an external optical drive enclosure to use my old old optical drive.

I bought this to add a DVD/Blu Ray drive to my macbook pro. After searching for a program to read the player, I can now rip DVDs and Blurays to my mac and also watch movies when needed. Its quick and easy to use.

This is exactly what i was looking for. After online searching with no luck. I went to the nearest Best Buy to pick this bad boy up. Great product & great price.

Nice slim line non-intrusive. Provides great video and quality playback. A definite for uploading your old DVDs to the cloud

This worked as expected. Had trouble in the beginning but once we figured it all out no problems. Used for kids to watch movies on laptop in the car on a long trip.

This external Blu-Ray DVD drive works well but the included software leaves much to be desired. Other software for playing Blu-Ray disks works better.

Being USB 2.0 the drive is slower at burning than my internal drives. I purchased this with the hope that it would read 4k Blu-Ray movies. However, it WILL NOT. The drive will not recognize the disc at all. After further research it seems there are no drives or software even for 4k Blu-Ray playback as of yet.

Ordered a new HP ZBook without a disc drive, so purchased this to fill the gap. Worked as directed and is easy to store away went not in use or to take with you to watch BluRay....who has BluRay anymore???

The bundled software did everything I needed. The drive is fast and burned 4 dvds attached to a new laptop with no sweat. Big fan of LG drives.

Used to archive information from my notebook. Worked fine. I did not use bundled software, since it worked fine with Windows utilities.

I purchased this about a month ago to go along with my Ibuypower gaming computer. I used it to watch a blueray movie and was very good. I didn't make any DVDs yet so I can't say how that is.

Works like a charm, it's thin and light and nice looking. Keep in mind that if your USB ports don't provide full power then you will have to use two ports to power it.

Good portable unit at a decent price. Easy to use.
