Works great for backing up BR discs. I own two of the same drive bought about a year apart, this second is much quieter than the first.

Very slim, does what it's supposed to do, speed is good, early experience points to good product for good price

Works well with windows as well as Mac OSX (tested with Sierra). Plug and play for both and in both instances didn't have to use the second USB for extra power (mileage may vary). There is a little hum to it like all these portable drives that aren't 10lbs have, but tolerable for the convenience this provides. As with mac tradition, the physical drive button will not function without dragging the disc to the trash first; but works when you have it plugged into a PC -- so accommodates both environments well.

The LG Bluray Disc is perfect to complete the task, the slim style allows me to place it anywhere I need. It was an instant addition to my new iMac 4k, which didn't come with and disc reader. LG is a reliable name and performance matches the ease, Plug and Play. Remember it also writes, the best of ALL worlds. With a 4K 27 inch monitor I didn't want to skimp on the quality of output to the screen, don't go back words for a few dollars.

Dont want to buy an external hard drive and send some pictures, videos or documents then get this. Quiet, fast and a must have if your laptop does NOT have a cd/dvd/bluray.

Small and compact with good speed. Easily connects to laptop and runs quietly. Great drive at an affordable price.

Ive always had internal drives on my laptops, but have been using my desktop more and really missed having a disc drive. The LG drive is pretty much plug and play ready. The read/write noise is minimal when in use and it fits right on top of my desktop. The only thing I would have done different, is have a longer USB cable included, to allow for easier placement if needed.

Works great .. love the blue ray on it .. a little loud but usually watching movies so no can't barely notice it

Good DVD especially for makeKVM. Works really well with Automatic Ripping Machine. Still need to try the firmware upgrade for blue ray

This is a good drive. Flash it to unlock it’s full potential and it will be ready to go playing and scanning 4k Blurays. It isn’t quiet, but it gets the job done quickly and hasn't given given me an error yet. The only thing that would make the drive better is if they changed the cable system. It comes with a USB 2.0 micro b to dual USB a, it would be nice to see a 3.0 receptacle but it’s already fast so my main complaint is it uses a dual usb a connection for power and data so to slim the package you have to buy a usb micro b - usb which can be a challenge since most micro b - usb c use the 3.0 micro b connector

Exactly what I was looking for. Plays Blu-ray, Fast, quiet, easy to use, and comes with a very nice software suite.

For the price and the size this portable blu-ray writer is perfect for anyone on the go. Plug and play easy and not a issue yet.

Great product to have with at scout camp for helping to keep the kids occupied.

I use this with my Apple laptop and it works. Great plays Blu-ray. Perfectly I love the fact that I can watch movies on my computer. It’s easy to hook up and very portable.

I needed a good quality external dvd drive for instructional videos. After looking and discussing options with the associate I purchased this unit. It does what is advertised. Easy to set up. Comes with a basic program to read and write. I may upgrade later, for now its fine. The only draw back so far is that it is a bit noisy, especially at start up. Once it is running it smooths out and quiets down.

This device works really well. I've successfully imported CDs into iTunes as well as watched a blu-ray movie on it, and it works great! Only problem is that the PowerDVD program it comes with is outdated and doesn't work very well. However it seems to work okay with Leawo, a free blu-ray player software you can get online.
